The thing that I have found that speeds the game up the most is GPS in the cart. No searching for a sprinkler head from which to pace off a yardage, no triangulating said yardage to 50 yards into the next fairway where your ball is, just pull up to your ball and gogogo.
In general GPS actually slows down play. Reason being you have two people in a cart, both have to get exact yardage blah blah, so everyone is waiting for the other to hit then have to drive over, etc etc.

I will golf with ya

36 holes this weekend, I suck though, didnt break 100 either round, but i did have a 45 for one of the back 9's.

Jd I doubt I'd be under 100 right now either depending on the course. I'd love to play in hawaii though

cant remember the course I played the last time I was in Hawaii, began with a W, right down the road from Kapaloua (spelling?). beautiful courses.

had a chance to play poipu bay the week before the PGA Grand Slam but turned it down, mistake IMO, my boss shot an 84 from the tips setup for the tournament.

Edit: it was one of the Wailea courses, but no clue which one.

my golf game is so off right now, i was just out this weekend hitting for the first time since last fall. i'm pretty sure i'd struggle to break 105 if i played tomorrow, that said, i'm probably only a few hours at the range plus two rounds from being back to shooting my usual 89-92s

the refs are doing that thing late in the playoffs where they seem afraid to screw up and as a result they might as well just leave the ice because they are ruining the game
05-31-2010 , 10:00 PM
Refs ruin games. When I was in HS I played lacrosse and as a sophomore it was the first year as an actual school sport. My mom sat next to a guy watching because the first game he had ever seen was one he reffed. Out of the 12 games in a season 2 of them were reffed by a competent one

I remember one disc golf thread in Sporting Events, the posters tried to get the term "ball golf" used for that other form of golf. I guess it never caught on.
05-31-2010 , 10:02 PM
haha
05-31-2010 , 10:07 PM
I love playing bolf
05-31-2010 , 10:49 PM
also the refs just blow the whistle when the puck is still loose

flyers just scored a goal like 5 seconds after the whistle but the goalie never had it lol
05-31-2010 , 10:57 PM
Wahoo you do know if they lose sight of the puck when its in the crease they have to blow the whistle right?
05-31-2010 , 10:59 PM
ya but i can still be mad when their poor vision and swallowing their whistles at other times cost us a game in the stanley cup
05-31-2010 , 11:16 PM
Sorry wahoo I'm just pissed the state of hockey can't produce a god damn playoff hockey team

lolwe were throwing them as a frisby near these "cliffs" in la jolla, and the driver went into the ocean. Which is a lot better than into the back of someones head.

We use this term while playing/in transit to disc golf haha
05-31-2010 , 11:53 PM
Ya losing discs sucks a lot but finding discs that don't have phone numbers on them rock. Way better than finding golf balls.

Although I did go into these woods by a golf course looking for pro V 1s and sold like 80 of em on craigslist a buck a slice
