my friend offered me a better tv for free lol...but it was too much of a pita to go get it. he said he'd bring it to commerce, but then what? it'd have to sit in his car or my car while we played poker, and then someone would smash the windows in our car

usb-c is much smaller and it plugs in both ways (unlike usb where you get to guess wrong most of the time). e.g. the port on most new phones.

Okay, I read the manual. It's right on the above link in your post. The TV does not have chromecast built-in. However you can buy one. That would give you the ability for wireless display of videos from a browser window.

BTW if I was you, I would definitely read the setup guide in the manual and connect the TV to your wifi.

Oh and go buy a HD over the air TV antenna. From downtown LA area you should have a zillion free stations available.

Seeing the picture and talking about the ramen box made me wonder what ramen you bought. Then, the talk of buying something and having it delivered promoted me to look at what ramen I could get from Amazon.ca. I found I could get my favourite for much less than it costs me at the store, so I bought two cases. Lol. I'll get it on Wednesday. Oh, the influence of the mighty filthyvermin.

expert cooking tips:

the instructions say boil for 3 minutes. but it's much much better if you boil for 2.5 minutes. the noodles aren't as soggy

also, drain out the boiling hot water, and replace with room temp water, but not a lot. this way the burning hot noodles heat up the water, and the water cool off the burning hot noodles, and it's just the right temperature for inhaling like a starving maniac

also, use less than all the flavor pack. i use about 1/3 and it's still really flavorful. but most people like more

I never have a problem with soggy noodles. When I cook them, I add the flavour packet to the water before I boil it, and drain the broth after cooking the noodles. That takes care of the heat problem, and I get rid of a lot of the salt with the broth.

Ramen has insanely high sodium, like world record high, it's pretty much poison for anyone with blood pressure issues.
