i've heard epidemiologists say that destruction of habitat are bringing humans into contact with viruses we shouldn't be in contact with.

and obv our dysfunctional govt response was abysmal. and you might be like "but that was trump's fault!" ok sure, partly. but the horrific republican george bush was into pandemic preparedness. iirc it was obama who dismantled bush's pandemic programs.

like if we had had hilary clinton as president, maybe we would have done better(probably) but still would have failed miserably, prioritizing profits over health and happiness. as always.
