say if every worker, protestor, had a gun, then workers and protestors would have a lot more power, right?

but idk... seems very likely that would end in a huge slaughter of workers and protestors, right?

I think they believed the society they were creating was what they said it was. That's how ****ed up it is. They didn't believe Native Americans or slaves were people (men). They didn't believe women were people. To them going from a random King to letting them be ultra absurdly wealthy landowners who could do what they want was their version of "freedom and equality".

The same way there are people now who think that capitalism and what we have now is a "free market".

you can't really tell it's pro stalin propaganda just from the trailer. but supposedly the movie is pro stalin. the usa govt told hollywood to make some pro ussr propaganda to help the war effort

not familiar w/ the details of the case, but

generally, you can't argue "diminished mental capacity" if you voluntarily diminished your own mental capacity

so for eg, I can't get loaded, beat up a guy, and then say "I was drunk, it wasn't intentional"

if her testimony was "yeah, I consented, but only because I was drunk", then she is basically arguing diminished mental capacity

if she is drunk and says "no", then the "Voluntary Intoxication" doctrine would not apply and the dude could be convicted
