You're right, though. To this point I've only ignored jsmith and Dustin, I think. However, there is no progress from the Mets talk, so no further reason to engage.

I apologize to everyone for the interpersonal conflict I was a part of which has filled this thread repeatedly. I'll ignore and move on.
It was not about you at all... just in general.. I lurk more than post here but the thread goes through phases where nothing much is discussed except for who is mad at whom and why.

If I put UD on ignore then I guess I won’t be playing any more mashes on this site. If that’s what people want then I guess I’ll accept that advice.

I assume the AK post is about me, not you Chim. I suppose I should have just said nothing when observing casual death wishes in this community. I must just enjoy conflict because I’m not a good person.

A person can always take someone off ignore for a game and the back on afterwards.

With respect to ignoring people, do whatever you want obv. I am just puzzled why people who clearly have unresolvable issues with each other still post back and forth.

In a work place or sometimes within a family we have no choice. Here we do.

It was not about you... it is about the thread. As I said, it just seems to be a thing that comes in spurts for awhile...

UD usually runs game on gimmicks. Plus I do not think he is that regular politics poster after elections calm down he might be out of this thread.

The federal government needs to step up and help for any actual lockdown to occur.
and congress can be to blame for not passing more stimulus to a point

ny and new jersey and california have tremndoous state, local, income, and property taxes so they should have plenty of resources actually

states like ny and new jersey saying states that meet this criteria would have to quarantine but exemopty their neighbor states because of agreements shows they dont really care

come on

https://covid19.nj.gov/faqs/nj-infor...rom-new-jersey

every single state would qualify for quarantine based on new jersey standards except for Hawaii

44 states are listed
New Jersey New York Connecticut Delaware and Pennsylvania would all qualify but since they came up with this idea together they are exempt

so if you come from a state with a lower infection rate than new jersey but isnt one of those 5, yes quarantine

its a joke. its why nobody takes them seriously

i dont know a solution

i just went to vegas so im noit going to say im being overly cautious. i did wear a mask the whole time, constant hand sanitizing and washing, etc. but i took 3 planes and spent time in airports, casinos etc.

im kind of with dustin that i dont want to comply sometimes i guess

back in march, when we left school. i didnt leave my house for almoist 3 weeks besides walk around the neighborhood. 3 weeks
and thenb we are told to keep staying in for months and months?

i have become pro mask to the point that ill wear it inside anywhere even tho i dont klike it. i dont think its going away even after the pandemic.

i dont think the president had a magic formula what to do. Europe did bad as well. any country that has lots of people and lots of international traffic is going to get hit.

im rambling

i think both local and federal governments are too blame and it still mostly affects the elderly and the sick severely

i am okay with a true 2 week lockdown if thats it. a real 2 week lockdown. give everyone 2 weeks notice and then nothing. sholdnt even food shop. for 2 weeks. everyone.

maybe that could work

but i also agree these laise faire half measures arent helping anything

What is really annoying is people invoking the "the gov can't make me do that" for no other reason than because they can (or believe they can). How about forgetting whether the gov can or can't dictate this, and just wear the damn mask because you are probably going to help reduce the spread.
I obviously agree with all of this post

have you seen strong evidence that workplace is where people are getting covid generally?

murphy just admitted that the number of infected in pubolic schools is way lower than they had anticipated. that most times a student tests positive, they make all the contacts in the school stay home 2 weeks after but none come up positive

most cases still seem to come from large gatherings indoors from what ive read.

By "congress", you mean Senate Republicans, right?

The House of Representatives passed a bill over 6 months ago.

so you honestly think there would have been nio second wave if we locked down strong for 3 weeks?

i used to think that but i dont think thats true anymore

get a life bro

the house passed an unreasonable bill on the high side, the senate tried to pass a bill on the low side but it couldnt go to the floor because the dems fillabustered it and trump said he was willing to sign a bill closer to the dems number than the repubs

but why woudnt the dems let the senate bill get to the floor so it can then be neogtiated after it was passed with the house bill?

you iknow why?

so uninfiormed people can say the republicans are at fault

We literally had this very same conversation about 3 weeks ago. To wit:

I think both the left and the right can agree that these lame half measures aren't helping anything!

The whole point of locking down like we did in March was to allow time for the federal government to implement a plan. But then they just.. Didn't.... Ever.

And I know that in the Midwest, they don't have the funds to support the small businesses that would be hammered by an actual full lockdown.

Also, hope you didn't run into my brother in Vegas, because if you did there's a decent chance you have covid! My dumbass family got it and my brother flee out to Vegas the day my mothers got the positive result..

I'm also rambling.

i agree mitch refusing to even look at anmother stimulus before the election was cringeworthy even for him, and it hurt trump as well even tho he had nothign to do with it

mitch had decided that trump was gonna lose the election so he would not let nancy win anything

disgusting politics no doubt

but as i said, mitch had earlier proposals that the dems wouldnt let go to the floor as well

I actually explained my perspective at length today. Saying "you are not the person I thought you were" does not strike me as an honest attempt at having a conversation.

What you said to Mets was bad and you should feel bad.

I was coming from a place of thinking more highly of you than you apparently warrant, and you took the opportunity to **** on me and say I’m not a good person.

I’ve repeatedly tried in good faith to come to a better understanding with you. That effort has not been reciprocated.

So gfy if that’s your best take. I won’t play your games anymore and I won’t respond to any more of your posts per eyebooger and AK’s requests.
