you'll be good and get real chinese food. Or should.
Thanks.
You and I have similar taste, it seems.
FWIW, my GF and I are dim sum connoisseurs -- or something close. The baby bok choy is always a good suggestion (I am coming to the conclusion that in pretty much every cuisine "baby" vegetables are just awesome -- made an awesome dinner the other night with beef tenderloin, baby turnips, and fingerling potatoes, and this meat was perfect but people couldn't stop talking about how good the turnips were. But I digress). And often, the Peking Duck is the way to go, but I've heard mixed reviews about the pancakes at this place (although most of them were from midwesterners, which -- don't get me wrong, I love the people out here, but foodies they are not).
And I do love me some crispy sea bass/grouper.
But mostly I just want to try some new things, and it annoys me that I can't read the menu. I can't even type the menu into some translator and get "fish fragrant tree gorilla" back, because I don't know anything about the characters. ::sigh::
But at least these people have their menu online. It's way worse when you have to try and guess what to order off the chalkboard :-p
