I looked at both posts before. They both meet the rule I had (odd/even letter of alphabet for starting key words). No matter whether you use "first half" or "first" or "half"

Because they are worded differently than your other posts, I took these as either a hint or signalling a rule change. Something forced you to use two words to form a true statement.

We are all ready for the answer....Really...

So I wanted to do kind of a meta-puzzle where all information was contained within the thread and took no outside knowledge(outside of our letter system that everyone posting knows) - you guys are on point with the first part being odd/even posts and from that...

Is it that letters must come from opposite alphabet halves, not just straight alphabetical order?

I haven't checked just a guess.

btw Ervin I think if you had been upfront with your intentions like you say in post #153 people would have been more on board. You set us up with different expectations by calling it the normal in/out game.

This is not really the in/out game imo

Haha yea sorry for the frustration - I think if I just jumped straight to my "hint clues" like even/odd it would have been a better starting point - so many smart people(housenuts your post of me making 3 posts at the start was incredible) here that I didn't want it to be over on the first guess but I could have structured it better considering the...dynamic nature of the answer - wasn't sure how to hint at it without just pointing at the posts.

Thanks all for playing - hopefully you had fun but if not maybe appreciated the challenge but if still not I'll do better next time for you! =)

It is all good Ervin. Glad to see you active in the puzzle community here. This was mostly fun, but unfortunately I focused on commenting on the frustrating parts... sorry.... I am blunt in the moment and then I am over it right away...lol

You too must have been frustrated when we basically had it solved....

Anyway, the great part of POG is that nothing is ever personal...

Welcome and don't stop coming up with ideas and joining games and being part of a great group of people..

Haha you were practically saying the rules in your posts but somehow circled around everything except landing on the answer...I'm thinking "I know he's frustrated but he's RIGHT THERE!!!"
