being a peeked villa on D2 of a big MM or whatever is a good enough reason not to shoot someone

there were dozens of uncleared players who would have been better SHATS for sure

this is def violating the "don't suck" rule, especially given that he didn't even know about the peek

(or care enough to read or find out obviously)

but whatever, if we want to allow ppl to consistently suck like that, i guess there's nothing to be said

For example, in MtG, you needed a black mana to play Terror (or some other mana to play another powerful card; not the point).
At one point you clearly showed that you didn't know you could have required a mana of a specific color (in the stead of a random mana+one colorless mana) during the night.

That's the post in question

It was page 174.
Had you read the OP (5-10 minutes at most) you would have been able to play that important cart sooner.

That's a very good example on how not reading the OP and only relying on common sense can hurt your team.

I get what people are saying. Good luck writing a rule other than "don't suck".

I will shoot at for real peeked villagers when I think it's the right play. Sometimes I'll be wrong.

See HP3 where mechanics I didn't understand made Luckay "the clearest player in the game" and I killed him.
On day2 of a medium-to-big mishmash, peeked players should never been shot unless they display objectively antivillage behaviour.

Just my 5c.

IDK if it was supposed to be this funny, but it is

I have lots and lots of opinions about things players should never do. But you would not want to make my opinions into rules.

If there is a rule against sucking, I have plenty of past offenses I need to do time for.

Fair enough. But when someone's reason for shooting a peeked villager is:

"I didn't know she was peeked."

and NOT

"I had a sick read."

and then it is demonstrated that person did in fact know she was peeked, I think at that point it is reasonable to presume that the person is not making a good faith effort to play well, and is just making **** up.

I've sucked often enough to be more than willing to make allowance for people sucking. But people just screwing around and maliciously hurting their team should be actionable.

Heh that wasn't even the worst thing that happened in mtg.

Master then tried to get rid of my hand and then emo suicided instead.

And I went on to shoot a wolf with my mana.

ALWAYS COME THROUGH IN THE CLUTCH

I've seen Kruze not suck enough that I would never chalk that shat up to suckage. He's a particularly good wolf in my experience.

Chips Ahoy,

could you bring me an example in which knowingly attempting to kill a peeked villa on day2 of a 50man MishMash could ever be considered a good play, short of the target player doing things like going on a killing spree during ITAs, sniping a claimed PR on EOD or incessantly trolling the thread?

Because TL did neither of these things, and that's not an opinion.

If TL makes till middle to endgame and keeps being wolfy, then heroshooting her might be considered for POE purposes, but never in the circumstances the shot was actually taken.

You might very well say that this is just my opinion, which it is.
I still think that knowing that TL was peeked and still shooting her in those circumstances cannot have any strategical justification.

A WW ban for TimeLady needs to be discussed as well. As a peeked villager in Mechano-Mash she finished last in an event (it seemed deliberate because her answers were that terrible) and got herself killed as a result of that last place finish.

Yes, you shot biggerboat with terror. Very good shot. Also irrelevant to the present discussion.
Yes, master suicided. That was already brought in this very thread by RollWave.

This is not about master, but about you. This example clearly shows how your unwillingness to read the thread can and will hurt your team. The fact that you played great during that game is not the point. (In before LKJ)
You could have shot biggerboat earlier if you had requested your mana when you could.

Yeah, I do not know who he is.
Unless he was doing one of the things I have mentioned, he would also have been a bad shot in those circumstances.

I'm sure everyone has done something silly like that at some point.

Yeah, right.

Please start reading OPs. It's not that hard.
It's actually annoying because you are sending the message "I am the king and the greatest player evah, reading OP is for the yeomen"

Examples:

Question 1: How much weight can the average American lift?

TimeLady's answer: 0

Question 4: How many years of education has the average American completed?

TimeLady's answer: 0

Question 6: How many times has well named seen a moose in the last year?

TimeLady's answer: 365
