Yeah I'd have taken her/hoped she'd slip unnoticed eventually but I refuse to take any more actresses before like the double picks round

It was a good move to take him and James Dean now...you can sell them both as headlining stars for at least a decade.

If I had gotten Wyler, I probably would have then picked up Davis along with Peck - I wasn't kidding when I said chuckles really screwed up my plan. But that forced me to think in new directions, and I like my Lynch/Aronofsky play. I'm not even worried about getting certain actors anymore - my directors can make great films without the distracting presence of superstars, and there's so much talent among supporting character actors.

Sandra Bullock was one of the people I almost picked instead of Michael Caine, but decided she had too much "overlap" with Audrey (charming comedic actress with some drama range). Benicio Del Toro would have been interesting for me for a 21 Grams sweep remake.

Sandra Bullock was the next actress on my list.

Del Torro is a great pick too.

I'm surprised so many people in this draft haven't seen Avatar yet. It's pretty phenomenal visually, but I don't know if that means it automatically deserves Best Picture. It totally deserves to sweep all the technical stuff, but Inglourious Basterds was just so good...

I haven't seen it either. Just never got around to it.

This is actually getting ridiculous now that someone hasnt been picked. I must have scanned that spreadsheet about 30 times to check I hadn't missed it.

Better not hint at it, there might be people who count on said person falling a bit

Never seen Bette Davis but it was clear to me that she was good-looking, why else would someone make a song about her eyes?

yeah, I ctrl-f'd the spreadsheet about 3 times before posting, I was so surprised he hadn't gone

Also, Ace, sorry for naming David Lynch, I genuinely thought he had gone. If I had realised he hadn't, I'd have taken him!

I almost took Olivier instead of Bogart, and then every time I took an actor since then I forgot about him

Olivier was one of two people I thought people could be talking about that should of gone a long time ago. I'll take the other...

Spoiler:

Spencer Tracy

Alright he had nothing to do with Up, but you have to admit that kind of looks like him. Another hollywood legend to add to my strong roster of leading men. He was nominated for 9 oscars, winning 2. He was an incredibly diverse actor playing roles from sweet romantic comedies, to courtroom dramas.

Studio So Far:
Walt Disney

Mel Brooks
Eddie Murphy

Cary Grant
Denzel Washington
John Wayne
Henry Fonda
Spencer Tracy
Ingrid Bergman
William Wyler
John Huston
David Fincher
