brand new key was pretty boring and that shoop song is excruciatingly terrible. let's get married should have won. would work in most places and is definitely surprising

Brand New Key should be docked for its inclusion in Boogie Nights, but maybe just because I was at an age when that came out I saw it rescued from cheesy obscurity to cheesy hipsterism. Man, girls loved to sing that.

A friend and I were looking through another friend's (horrible music taste) ipod library last year or so, and he had one Christopher Cross song. We both agreed it was *probably* "Sailing", but I got him to give me $40 to $30 that it was Ride Like The Wind (and give me $10 if it was anything else).

I lost $30. ****ing Sailing.

I didn't know we were supposed to pick something to please the 80 year olds at a karaoke bar. Like I didn't even know karaoke bars existed outside of North Korea. I will take 7th.

I actually don't think I know this song, which there are only a few in this category. I think the vocal is one that would make for an alright karaoke song with the right level of skill. That said I don't think this song would go over very well, given its tempo and relative obscurity.

The "relative obscurity" of Love Is All Around might not bode well for the "song I've loved but forgotten" category

That was one of the most overplayed songs in the 90's afaik.

Literally had no idea what to go for in the next round. If I hate a song it's for good reason, so just went for something I really hate. Might not be the best point scoring tactic.
