Isle of cats number 4! It's just fun imo. Going to have to try my city apparently.
I kinda agree with wifey, charterstone was one of my best gaming experiences/first legacy, but not sure how many times you can replay. Then again twelve plays is more than most games get.
Great video. Just wish I wasn't so broke so I could get some of these! As a recovering 'cardboard crack' MtG addict, the Marvel Champions game looks very dangerous...
Also, thanks for introducing me to the term 'analysis paralysis', something I very much fall into. I found the book, The Paradox of Choice, about it very interesting.
Nice video (tho Mario Kart >>>>> Crash Team Racing)
It’d be cool if every 5 or 10 of these that you play you do a video with a few mins on each to discuss how you liked them
So these aren't reviews per se, but moreso first impressions - of the 13 games we played down in Essen:

I bought this at Essen, have yet to play it, but very much looking forward to it. Supposed to be a medium weight civ builder that can play in under 2 hours.

I quite enjoy this too. It had to grow on me though. But simple and engaging, I agree.
Frosthaven should finally be arriving on my doorstep.
Same here
How long have we had to wait for that game. Two years or so?
I burned out on Gloomhaven btw. I did like 50 scenarios and then I just couldn't bring myself to play it anymore.
I have had the same with other games. Life is too short to play one game for too long

At least 2 years. Think I've changed my address twice on the shipment.
I still play Gloomhaven, but generally binge for a week, leave it a couple of months then go back to it tbh!
We spent nearly three hours unboxing, punching and packing up the thing as the box said. Then it didnt fit. Decided to then read the rulebook after a late evening meal and an hour in we were barely through how to setup a scenario, so said screw it, decided to watch the video instead and went to bed. But at least we have characters set up.
I'm actually not going to start the two low complexity characters, because they overlap a skill. I want my two characters to have 6 different skills, which might give me better results in the events.
So I'm starting the Banner spear and the Boneshaper.
Turning to this thread for some possible suggestions on optimizing my collection:
*Ticket to Ride: Europe
Le Havre
Glass Road
*Dominant Species
*Stone Age
Puerto Rico
7 Wonders
Ra
Power Grid
Have a few other smaller games, some of which I'd probably get rid of:
Codenames, *Codenames Pictures, Hanabi, Citadels, Resistance, *One Night Ultimate Werewolf
The *'d ones are the ones I'm considering selling. Just games we don't play at all anymore and have zero interest in. The exception being Dominant Species which I never actually played but just don't have an audience/group for 3+ hour heavy games.
Any good suggestions on additional games to consider replacing with that might balance the collection? I've heard Patchwork is very nice for 2p, and might need to grab 7W: Duel for the same reason. Open to any style of game really.
