I guess there's not much more to do, and this looks like my last day alive. Disappointing it ended like this.

Yeah talking to myself seems to be just as productive.

Guess I will need to shoot someone tomorrow to get people to take notice.

While prepping dinner I came to realize that mexineil is very nearly an outed wolf by the sequence of shots today, possibly a power wolf. I suspected it before which is why I voted him, but now I'm pretty sold on it.

HUstylez spent some time before the ITA period opened trying to lay the groundwork for a shot on mexineil. He did a pretty terrible job, but he tried. After he was rebuffed he took the shot anyways, and got yelled at. There were GAME INTEGRITY shenanigans, and ITAs restarted, and HUstylez shot mexineil again despite the overwhelming negative reaction. He framed it as a "hero shot".

Then - and this is the key - ReddBoiler came out of nowhere to shoot mexineil as well.

HUstylez and ReddBoiler are obviously faction-mates, and played it pretty terribly.

Thing is, why would they both out themselves to kill mexineil?

Mexineil as wolf-peeked villa PR doesn't make sense given how it played out. Presumably the HUstylez/ReddBoiler faction has some killing power. Pressuring mexineil and then repeatedly shooting at him merely gives him time to claim, after which he will be night-killed in due time and HUstylez and ReddBoiler go down. If mexineil is a villa PR, the HU/RB faction simply night-kills him without warning and without giving him an opportunity to claim (and associated angel etc. issues that make it difficult for them to kill him).

Mexineil as wolf-peeked wolf PR, however, does make sense. If I had to guess, I would guess that mexineil has relatively low power, HU/RB thought they had a good chance to gank him in ITAs, and thus HU/RB would alleviate pressure on themselves somewhat. (We shouldn't let up on HU and RB once mexi flips wolf for precisely this reason.)

Mexineil as someone random and unknown to HU/RB makes less than zero sense.

Mexineil as a weak vanilla wolf being bussed makes some sense if HU is a power wolf of the same faction. Well, it makes zero sense, but it's the sort of poor play in a multi-faction game that a non-thinking wolf faction might make anyways, and given how HU and RB played it, their wolfchat is not likely to be a shining beacon of tactical brilliance.

HU and RB are likely vanilla or weak wolves; they wouldn't out their strong power roles in this gambit, with the reservation in the above paragraph that they may actually just be playing terribly.

Food for thought: why would one wolf faction out two of its own to kill someone from another wolf faction? Mexineil is possibly a threat to the faction in question, perhaps more of a threat to them than to the village. Or possibly he's just a strong PR who they wanted to claim credit for killing. Given the former possibility, if you accept my logic on why he's a power wolf, is killing mexineil a priority, or should he be left alive for a bit to damage other factions?

I'd ask you what led you to believe that mexi is outed, but I don't think I'd get any useful information.

Feel free to answer anyways though.

Gotta say Felix that's pretty impressive. Wrong, but impressive.

I guess I might as well claim since someone is going to kill me tonight anyway.
