But I've also gotta say that eventhough I have 100$ riding against the Fins in a sidebet I find myself rooting for them over and over, I just like the way they play football (on both sides of the ball).

This, it's just soooo much better to have two quality backs and the Pat White wildcat looked worse than the normal one this season.
That being said the other back they put in also had some quality runs.

I'm just happy Steve Smith had a solid game so I didn't lose too much ground already. If all our players end up like this we could have a ridiculously high scoring week.

Also whoever the Carolina safety was who completely failed to knock Ricky out at about the 4 on that last touchdown run wants firing, one of the worst missed tackles I've ever seen at nfl level and I'm not just saying that because I was against Ricky in fantasy.

Can you pick up players after the thursday games if they are not on one of the teams that played? It looks like everyone has to go through waivers after that first game is played. Is that right?

The Houston Chronicle reported Saturday that Houston Texans' running back Steve Slaton will be the starter for Monday night's game against the Tennessee Titans. The Texans had a bye in Week 10, but Ryan Moats got the start in Week 9 (a 20-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts) after Slaton had been benched the previous game due to his league-leading eight fumbles on the season.
Analysis: We kind-of figured it was just a matter of time before Slaton got his job back. Moats is a serviceable NFL back, but he just doesn't possess the all-around skill set that Steve Slaton does. If Slaton continues to cough up the ball after being given new life, he could find himself right back in coach Gary Kubiak's doghouse. For now, however, things in Houston appear to be back in order, with Slaton resuming his status as the No. 1 back in town.

FWIW I think if it's possible we should change the waiver stuff for next season to allow picking up any player before they have played their game.
It would certainly blow if your kicker gets injured on Friday and there was a Thursday game and you can't pick up a new one because all the kickers who play on Sunday are already locked in for waiver.
