Didn't mean to come off butthurt bc I'm not I swear and it really is a great reveal just something I've noticed in your explanations

I did not, but I got the idea. Nightmarish LSD horror in the woods. Like a trip gone bad, it would be right at home in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I wanted to try to offer some explanation for each rather than just post the songs, but for many this round it can be summed up with 'song bored me, wasn't weird' and I wanted something to talk about

No worries, although I was hoping to see more "unique" stuff this round.

Wat

If you're referring to Never Broke Again, I neither submitted the song nor think it's particularly good.

Joe Budden fell off the rails a while ago.

Also, pretty sure Molly is MDMA in it's regular form, not as E. Never have tried either, though.

In 3rd place scoring 18 points is...

Spoiler:
mexineil beating Willi by one place for the second round in a row with The Mesopotamians by They Might Be Giants

Weird Level: Even Gilgamesh needs a theme song!

This is just a fun silly rock song. So it's not that weird, but neither is much else this round so whatever, this is one of only two songs this category I properly, actually liked.

Oh right.

I mean, let's face it, anyone who wanted to win this could just ignore all the categories and post songs you like.

It's been fairly well established at this point that Roo's view of what's weird is pretty weird in its own right.

Pretty sure Roo would love to sing that TMBG song at a karaoke bar.

But I do agree with everyone else that Roo's view of weird is definitely weird.

I'd consider very little of what was posted this round properly weird or unique, this was no less than many, sounding like a kid's theme song but for mostly forgotten ancient kings, being semi-autobiographical, asking how will TMBG be remembered, if at all.

In 2nd place scoring 19 points is...

Spoiler:
||.||.|| with Tiger Rag by The Original Dixieland Jazz Band

Weird Level: Not weird, just historically unique

I debated whether or not this should count as unique since the most unique thing about it it's a jazz standard that's well known but they made the first jazz recordings ever so, at the time, were definitely unique.

Cliffs: It counts, deal with it.

addressing the role of women in Ancient Egypt and it's relationship to contemporary sexual politics

In 1st place scoring 22 points is...

Spoiler:
SuqAta8 with Catcerto by Nora the Piano Cat and Mindaugas Piecaitis

Weird Level: Cat + concerto = Catcerto

Now this is properly weird. Not because it's a cat playing piano, that's an internet staple, but because it's a whole ****ing orchestra playing a concerto to cat's random key hitting, and taking it completely seriously and making it work. Brava, Nora the piano cat!

wtf now you're just taking the piss.

"It was unique in 1922" is a joke.
