In fifth place, with a score of 7.5,
Spoiler:
Spoiler:
Voice is great, emotion is great, lyrics sound basic. The music is a little on the slow side, and I'm not sure how necessary that was. I thought the piano from the intro was an intro; it's actually the soul of the beat. Thinking along a different line, maybe this is just how the writer expresses herself? I like the result enough, but I wish those weaker pieces were a bit stronger.

Don't really know Suqata, but you and Robik sound like a great time. Hope you're enjoying yourselves.

In fourth, with a score of 7.6,
Spoiler:
captain binkles with I Gotcha Back - GZA
Spoiler:
I like the chorus and outro as much as I like the meat of the song, which is helpful considering their combined length The message is another I can see without really feeling, but the writing keeps it live throughout. I've been hard on some things for having boring beats before. This is how you do simple without boring: multiple elements and a slightly longer loop.

In third, with a score of 7.7,
Spoiler:
It's on my computer and has been for a while and probably will be until I'm dead. That's more because of where it comes from than by its own merit. It's a good song off a great album by one of the best bands of all time, but it hadn't made my playlist before and this didn't change that. This doesn't feel like Pink Floyd's category, but this song fits really, really well. I wish I liked it more. It's a little bit beyond depressing for me, given context, and it's not special without. I judged this last because I knew it would kill my mood. Not wholly satisfied with a 100m views Pink Floyd submission, but this song is worth.

In second, with a score of 7.8,
Spoiler:
DonkDonkDonkDonk with Adem - These are your friends
Spoiler:
I like everything but the singer? He doesn't have the voice to sing, I feel like. I don't know why I'm so very okay with this, given that. It's all of what I wanted outside of his everyman's voice. Have you ever looked at a song name and wanted to like the song for it? This one did that to me, and I'm happy it did.

In first, with a score of 8.4,
Spoiler:
I like the song musically, which is all I need to allow the stellar delivery of the really well suited lyrics to take over. A little more diversity in the beat or a change over the course of the song would have made it a little better in my eyes, but I think it will be even better for the average listener than it already is for me. This might be a singer making a song by himself, the more I stare at these lyrics. I'm pretty sure that's it, but whatever happened worked out very well. Unrelated, but could somebody explain the motivation behind a music video that is centered about breaking beer bottles on heads?
