I thought I was pretty clear about why I voted no if I voted no. It's not fluff reasoning, it's a very standard way to play the game. Picking a chancellor who is immediately next in line gives them more influence over the game and gives someone far down the line less influence in the game. A standard practice is to pick someone way down the line early in the game. It distributes power more evenly and gives more people a chance to be in the spotlight. You have very little to go on in the first few turns, so that's pretty much the basic idea in every game.

On another note, are supposed to have gotten new vote codes? My last one was from July 8th.

i have no reason to think anyone has lied about their cards but it's possible so i won't jump to conclusions.

I personally have seen only 5 liberal cards so i can't say for sure where the 6th is.

A Liberal might want to play a Fascist card to obtain information (playing or giving the President a chance to play the third card) or to attempt to kill Hitler (playing or giving the President a chance to play the fourth or fifth card) when 2, 3, or 4 Fascist cards have already been played. However, a Liberal would never want to play a Fascist card when it does not give him or her a power, such as when 0 or 1 Fascist cards have already been played, or when it loses the game for the Liberal team, such as when 5 Fascist cards have already been played. Therefore, I cannot assume a Liberal would automatically want to play a Liberal card under the former set of circumstances, but I can assume that for the latter set.
