Yeah, standard is around 6 days I think

All games on my forum are standard 2 days to completely finish the game. One hour per phase. They are so quick compared to here. Most of the players have school which is why we do them over the weekend.

I'm surprised by the low number of pages however.

One time I played a 100 person game that only lasted a week.

Our record on this site is around 110 players I believe.

We had 117 once. It had its pros and cons.

It certainly becomes a different beast.

That seems impressive given current state of affairs. That's like MySpace drop off level right there :P

Its been a steady decline. A lot of people came round from other sites and people who had quit playing came back because of the host and the game. No other style of game could have gathered that many people on our sites.

Before and after nothing comes close to that series where we are.

It was a total cluster****. Didn't help that there were some serious flaws with the game design either. I think 30 - 40 people is the sweet spot.

It's mafia for me too, or scum.

We have had some themed games, but they definitely don't make up the majority of games.

Oh hey, someone with a semi-similar game pace.
We do 2-3 day games, over the weekend (well, Thursday starts usually, with a long D1) where I'm from too. Ours are usually way less standardized in pace though, and individual phases are longer and usually decrease in length as the game goes on. i.e. D1 can be a day or two long in a slower game but Days after that usually aren't anywhere near that (and even D1s often aren't that long lately). And deadlines aren't always in place from the start of a Day, which I guess is quite unusual.
And we have hammers end day (usually - though there have been a couple of games recently where this wasn't the rule) with no majority at deadline meaning a plurality lynch.

We tend to do 24-hour phases, but sometimes the host procrastinates or is busy or something.

Our current phase has exceeded 96 hours or something larger than that.

Folk usually have to pee sometime.

A 100+ player game sounds super prone to becoming a mess. So does a 50 player one, really, but I've never played anything bigger than 17 players (and that big of a game is rare where I'm from) so... perspective, I guess.

Where I'm from, days can last weeks and games often take over a month to play. Our beginner games are there to weed out the insufficiently dedicated.

I've played a few thirty player games, almost all have been good fun.

We used to have really short days, but people couldn't get to the thread. we tried long days, but people would sfk for irldays at a time, and it was ****ing annoying. so five day days and two day nights started happening. Yay.

Yeah, it's pretty small and tight-knit. There wouldn't be enough people there to play a thirty-person game.

Yep the time for phases decrease to around 20 minutes towards the end.

We have a 25-35 player games nothing more or less usually.

I feel like all of these players new to two plus two should be forced initiation by playing several turbos each night
