I mean, maybe a few of them are. There are actually many, many mafia clubs out there. Eastern Europe has many (not too surprising since the game originated in Russia) and they probably wouldn't be playing on English forums.

There's a club in Austin, Texas. And there's a few in the UK.

Supposedly, there are also "Killer Game" (that's what they call it) clubs (as in actual clubs and not just friends gathering at a random house) in China that are jampacked every day with people.

How does Battle Royale work as a game on your site? One of the communities on NF had someone run a really complex version with stats, perks, a map complete with danger zones, multiple win conditions and more. It only got ran fully twice. I tried to run it myself once but its just too much work to run solo. I could link several blog posts detailing it once I am not limited to posting from my phone.

also, to offer some insight: The one year where I watched all the games they had actual significant money prizes for the winners (a bunch of games were played to set up a ranking and the 9 highest ranked or something got into the finale where the winning team took home the money).
