depending on how you view "best player available"

that shortline pick is either fine or spew

i lean towards spew

since he never plays and prolly wont anymore

have close to 0 experience with him, but hes a pretty consensus elite player

Thingy is ALWAYS going to pick old school. And that was my guess when he traded up. Is it spew? Eh, maybe a little. Yes, he doesn't play much, but I'm fairly certain that if he chose to, he could do it and be elite pretty quickly again.

I also think if he came back and got some games under his belt he'd be crushing again fwiw. Yet this format has had many people declare a focus on "how much equity will they add to my team if I played a game with them tomorrow", and that just had us concerned.

edit: at the same time, we weren't comfortable selecting anyone other than him when he was on the board either. Which is why we kept trying so hard to trade down.
basically what jim said here

although my turbo experience with shorty was similar to what tweedy says here

its a bad pick imo but its not that bad. its just different eras

so what is the draft? they are building a team right now or building an all-time team? cause if we have learned anything recently, its that old school players are godawful now.

also, i am against a soah pick on principle. he is too scared to sign up for anything except his vanilla hugboxes and the guy is word for word the worst poster.

i'd take CDL first i think

he is amusing and his stats can't be disputed. plus its a large sample size. very high VORP.

second i'd probably take insanity.

vagos would also be in the mix. binkles has fallen, in my mind, over the past year, but he's still in the mix in the top 5.

Excellent pick by hoyaids. Don't know if it's too early to go to valuetown, but traz is it.

hoya would round out my top 5

fun to play with, dependable player, asset to your team

so CDL, insanity, vagos, hoya, binkles top 5 for me

i reckon ill get drafted like 30th-40th or so, depends on who is drafting, and i think ill be a steal.

CDL is a prime example of how stats can mislead.

He is a fantastic wolf tammate. Supremely intelligent. Puts a great deal of thought into proper night actions, and organizing the team.

But, he's an awful villager, imo. Mainly because NO ONE trusts him. Ever. Everyone always thinks that he's up to something. Always some fps. Even when he's not. If you can't get anyone to listen to/trust you ever, how can you be a good villager?

I'm being hyperbolic here, of course. CDL is obviously a good player, in spite of the fact that I've said a few times that I never ever wanted to play with him again. But top 5? No way.

Traz was only good at turbos bc he had the bull**** meta where he never posted the first fifteen min of d1 so he could never get lynched d1. He was fine at long games but his meta carried him in turbos since he just seer hunted during the day instead of posting as a wolf.

if this is true then it's not a great look

we all know bsing our way through 15 mins of d1 of a turbo is part of the game in both roles

don't ever go full turbo vyk

it's true that traz would not post at the start of the game in turbos and he would get away with it because it was his meta
