0. Idiomatic expression
1. Does not reference a human body part or an animal
2. Does not reference food or directly reference anything living
3. Operative part of the idiomatic expression (which here I'll describe as the part that one would recognize as the thing that makes it an idiomatic expression -- e.g., the part that might be listed as its Wikipedia entry) does not contain at least one personal or possessive pronoun
4. Operative part of the idiomatic expression is three words or less
5. Not North American in origin

yeah, I noticed that too.. might be helpful later.

Are we allowed to provide a link and ask if the idiom is one of those listed in said link? Not sure of protocol on that...

It's allowed but kinda frowned upon IMO, especially this early. For example we could ask if it's in the list linked by IBD, and if yes, then we have the win locked already just by binary sort, which isn't really fun.

It can also make the game a little less fun if it ends up being on the list.

True.. Not much fun. Plus, pretty sure Gad's came up with an archaic English idiom uttered once during the Great Potato Famine...lol

He is not dropping anything on us we can narrow down easy.

Idioms uttered once aren't idioms
