I have become highly disappointed in the mods handling of this group. Two instances come to mind:

1 - We have all lost a prolific poster in Natamus. I couldn't disagree more with his barring and the mods handling of the situation. He supports the group and the people here in a way that we should all aspire to; the group has been weakened by his forced absence.

2 - There is no need to re-arrange threads. If you are going to re-arrange threads then these policies should be handled in an even-handed manner with equal treatment across the board. Once again, the mods have failed in this regard.

The fact is that mods are acting irrationally, on impulse and with no semblance of any responsibility. The job of mods is to keep spam adverts off this board and that's about it. Anything more than that puts editorial and censorship control in the hands of people that don't deserve either of those tasks.

Whether the mods respond to this or not is of no matter - the facts above are indisputable. Quite frankly, I may never check this thread again. I see the mods around town in the rooms and they don't have the balls to look me in the eyes - I doubt this will be any different. I've expressed my disappointment and hope to see some changes in the future.

Why would you start a thread like this and then say you may never check the thread you started?

I have no problem taking criticism, but I have no idea what you are complaining about. Maybe the poster getting banned was before my time. I searched pages back and see no threads besides spam deleted and none moved.

Interesting post about the forums. If only there was a section where we could talk about the forums. Then maybe our gripes about the forums would get some attention.

The action against Natamus was made after a discussion by many mods/admins. The decision is that an attack like that is not acceptable in this forum, regardless of whether the poster is aiming it at a mod or not.

I'm going to move this to ATF so that it can be seen and discussed by all involved in that decision.

Oh I wasn't commenting on the decision to ban fwiw. I was not involved in the matter, don't know any of the parties, and just recently resurfaced back on the forums.

If you want to have a discussion about the moderators of a forum, I'm sure they would be open to hear your thoughts. But if your thoughts are just that they're doing a terrible job, aren't deserving of their position, and you don't plan to discuss this any further, I really don't know what the point of this was other than to publicly insult them. Not very conducive to positive change.

That's actually a fair summary based on appearance when I was following the thread live. Actually, I'd even say he was arguably slightly antagonized by a mod and went into semi idgaf mode & didn't outright make fun of a mod. However, perhaps his continued passive-resistance as opposed to 'just letting it go, or apologizing and moving on led to the ban.
