Here's some advice OP, a lot of good writing is re-writing.

Compose your story in a Word doc. Give it a polish with some re-writes. Structure it properly. Maybe leave it a day or two and come back to it fresh. Sometimes a hard copy is easier to have a better perspective on than on a screen.

Print it out an stick it up your a**.
