wtf, I thought this was gonna be something about how they scammed ppl out of life savings or kidneys or something, but OP isn't gonna get arrested if he does this, I imagine falling in with this chick would be pretty easy if she's everything she's cracked up to be (and puts out) so why wouldn't he appear to have legitimate reason to want to marry her?

As the second immigration lawyer to respond, let me lead you all in counting the ways OP could "lose"

1) marriage fraud = federal crime
2) years and years of dealing with the federal immigration agency (enough to break up real marriages!)
3) having investigator knock on your door at 6 AM
4) being subpoena'd as witness in court proceedings
5) having to explain to future GF/fiancee/wife your involvement in this
6) the time and grief spent on all of the above is definitely -EV

Plus, you better hope your local ICE marriage fraud investigator is not a 2+2er. if he is, he's probably printing out this thread just waiting for this application to show up in his office.

Do what you can in terms of your own background checks. If she's a student and can speak five languages, she'll have some kind of record of being at a college + qualifications etc. I'd find it a little hard to believe that scammers would go through several years of putting a girl through an education system to the point where she's actually qualified to do any number of jobs, then pull the whole marriage thing out of the bag. If they have, then you get pwned obviously, if it's in anyway genuine, sexy time.
