Once I got stuck in my car in the parking garage for 6 hours because I had lost every nickel I had and did not bring a credit card. I was too embarrassed to call home for help so I ended up driving to a local Walmart in Canada and returning a shirt I had bought for $15 bucks to have enough money for tolls to get home

This happened a few months ago, maybe around September, newly employed and earning money, I wanted to get a new laptop, as my crusty old desktop was on it's way out. I found a beauty, and talked the guy down from $1,600 to $1,150. I didn't have all the cash up front, but I knew they did 60 day interest-free payment plans. Sweet, I thought, I'm earning decent money, I'll have that thing paid in 60 days easy.

"Here you go sir, here is your credit card. You have a $4,500 limit on there, minus the $1,150 for your purchase".

Ahhhh ****. A credit card? I am 27 years old, and I never even thought about getting a credit card because I am well aware of my degen instincts and that it would not be the smartest thing to do. Immediately start sweating and ask if there is any other way to do this but there is not. Ok, I'll just have to be EXTRA CAREFUL not to get carried away with this thing and just use it for essential purchases. I take my laptop and go home...

...a few days later I've maxed out the CC in one sick ****ed up session where I made like 35 deposits on 888 Poker. The last hand I played I was sitting on $3,000 at a 10/20 PLO table from a $100 deposit, just need a few hundred dollars more to be even and out of this mess...

I didn't smash my laptop, my window, anything, I literally just laughed and walked outside naked and down to the beach and it was a windy night and sand was blowing into my eyes and mouth and I couldn't see but I just had to get into the water and scream and punch myself in the head until I'm bleeding and laughing and crying. had like 300 euro left and needed like 2k for private reasons the day after. Got some of the best weed 50 euro's. Smoked a bit. Had an awesome lunch for 50 euro's. I realized I had 200 left and literally ran to the casino to not miss a minute of play.

in the I casino played for 6 hours.. broke even. There was a mega fish who kept overbetting pots. A friend of mine said to me he was going to a homegame and the fish was coming and if I wanted too I could come. I went. 8 handed after an hour waiting a seat was open. I went to the table. Sat really calm. Most of them were drunk or stoned or both. The game was 2/2. I was trying to look cool while getting out my 200 euros like it was baller. Everybody was atleast 250bb deep. In about 5 hours I was killing the game. Making all sorts of calls, bluffs. It was one of my best games. A-game. Ran the 200 up to 2.5k. Most players were gone. It was heads-up between me and the fish. Who also had a stack of 2.7k.

This guy was DRUNK and Stoned beyond measure. Cool guy. But no poker player.

I got dealt ATo next hand. Straddles, I restraddle. He bets 40 I raise to 120 he calls. Flop comes Th7h4c he donks 400. I repop 1000 he goes all in. I have a dead read on him and say to him '89?' instacall. Like 5k pot. He turns over 89o. Running twice doesnt come to mind. The rest is history. I quickly ask for my jacket and leave immediately. Im hysterically laughing and at the same time crying from the inside. Its like 9am smoke my weed and go face my faith. Lmao good times. One of my many degen stories.
