You exaggerated to get more response? But you still don't seem to understand what you're saying just makes you sound like an addict and a moron even if you did exaggerate slightly you said yourself you started off on a lower dose so therefore you currently DO have a problem.

Prescription abuse is a huge problem in the US. Not only does it hurt the people who abuse the drugs (and their families/friends/communities), it also hurts those who use the drugs responsibly, as it often makes doctors more reluctant to prescribe them for fear of potential lawsuits.

I'm prescribed low dose opiates for pain control, and have heard horror stories from a) people who got addicted to pain pills and b) people who were in serious pain who had to basically beg for appropriate medication from suspicious doctors.

It's a huge problem with no simple solution.

Edit: I don't abuse my pills, but I'm probably physiologically addicted. I've noticed I get a little irritated at night if I don't take my evening dosage around 12 hours after my morning dosage. I doubt the withdrawal would be severe, since my dosage is quite low, but anyone who has to take addictive drugs for long periods of time ends up addicted, at least physically. The problem is when they start going outside the prescribed limits of their medication.

They're relatively weak, I only had a week of mild lightheadedness before I adapted; I don't get "high" off of them at all.

I have Percoset for when it gets bad, and I don't get very high off of that either, not anymore.

Since I don't feel the need to take more to chase the high feeling, I feel pretty confident in stating I'm not addicted in the typically used definition of that word. I take the pills strictly for pain management.

And no, you can't have any.

Yes. I have been through it though and you have not. If you really were so in control you would not have allowed the dosage to increase. I hope if just a little of what everyone has been saying has got through and you make an effort to reduce your dose. If you read the first link I posted you are either totally in denial (addiction does that because your mind will reason out anything in order to get you the next fix) OR you really are dumb. Could you go a month without any? If you think the answer is yes then you should try. If the answer is no well there you go..

I am going to get a little preachy and grown up here.

I use to be addicted to adderall in college, truth is i loved the stimulants. I loved the Focus and confidence, i could stay out all night, keep my energy level up, talk to any girl, and kick ass at poker.

Downside: Heart arrhythmias, excessive sweating, lack of sexual performance, irradic impulsive behavior, uncomfortable and irritable when i stopped, massive depressive mood swings, prolonged incidence of impulsive behavior.

I am not saying adderall was my only downfall, but adderall is amphetamine.

To get a little scientific, Amphetamine hits the same channels in your brain that Methamphetamine (noradrenaline and dopamine re-uptake channels, it basically reverses them to spew out various neurotransmitters in very "Vulnerable" sections of the brain) does and activates the same pathways which cocaine, heroin, and nicotine do in regards to pleasure and addiction.

guess what, SO DOES GAMBLING!!!!! i am a poker player (and degen craps player), but we all know it is still a form of gambling and it still activates the same dopamine circuits in our brain as do the most addictive drugs.

Adderall floods your body with dopamine and noradrenaline (and to some extent serotonin, histamines, etc...) so when you take large doses of adderall, couple it to playing poker, your pretty much "PRIMING" your brain for self destruction.

It might not seem like a big deal now, but over time you could be causing sections of your brain which deal with reason, decision making, impulse control, pleasure, and sex to name a few, to change their characteristics in terms of response to various stimuli.

I know this might seem bogus, but i did get my masters in Neuropharmacology, with am emphasis on addiction and "pleasure circuitry".

i am pretty well versed in the subject. Amphetamines have a lot of deteriorating effects on the brain but i would be more worried about the potential cardiovascular hazards.

just a little PSA for you. Good luck with your epic sessions.

You use your "I have a clear goal and path in sight" as an excuse for your drug abuse and it's absolutely pathetic.

I think you know by now what you're doing is bad and it's a matter of time when you realize it before it's too late. So either try to fight your addiction or just be stubborn and face the consequenses later on.

Adderall is a schedule II drug by the DEA, so I doubt you can get any online.

Idk why people chase this stuff, 5 hour energy is essentially the same ****

So you're risking your longterm health for a few thousand dollars? I know a good amount of 1knl regs and none of them are addicted to adderal. On the other hand I also know a lot of 100/200nl rakeback grinders who break even and regularly do adderal. Adderal is not necessary to get to 1knl so quit lying to yourself and pretending that it will be the key to get you there. Sure playing hands is important to moving up but it's not the sole factor and you could probably get just as many hands if you learned to play more tables on Stars or something without assistance from drugs vs. 4-tabling insanely long sessions and jeopardizing your long-term health.
