Now Blake Bortles gets to ride Storm Johnson's coattails in the pros as well. Sneaky pick by the Jaguars. Everyone will slurp Bortles while Storm is out there winning rangzzz.

The only pick where they could have gotten Bridgewater without trading up was #1 overall.

Storm Johnson was great value. It would be interesting to know how far they could have traded down to get Bortles, but I guess we'll never know.

If they really wanted him they would certainly trade up with one of the back 4 teams. The fifth year option value is huge, especially for a qb.

am i wrong to be more excited about the niners getting ellington than stevie johnson? size aside, seems ellington has a higher likelihood to make a bigger impact at what they need at wr immediately than johnson

right, because Houston was totally going to take him @ 33 if Min didn't trade up. Come on. Wouldn't have been much at all to move up a few picks they had already decided they didn't want him period.

I definitely think that most Niners fans are overrating the impact that Johnson will have

Lots of fans now saying that SF has the best WR corps in the league

But to answer your question, it really depends on whether Greg Roman will open up the offensive playbook and start utilizing WR sets that would maximize Ellington's value

Still not worth a "HAHAHAHA" for "passing" on him. By that logic, 31 teams "passed" on Clowney. LOL @ them.

Can someone explain why Seastrunk from Baylor fell so far, talked about as a top 3 rb during the season then fell real far down the list. Did Washington get a steal or am I missing anything?

Also, anyone know anything about Jordan Harris WR out of Bryant? Went to my HS, play pickup basketball with him and just found out he went as an udfa to the Colts.

probably had to do with this
Quote:
A zero in the passing game, Seastrunk had more drops (10) than receptions (9) in college, and was the nation's only starting tailback in 2013 who didn't catch a pass. He was noticeably awful in pass protection.

I was surprised to hear that. I was pretty sure Andre Williams didn't catch a pass either.

I don't think Seastrunk has much of a chance to consistently run between the tackles either.
