Baggio was drafted 27th in the all time draft, therefore 27th is clearly his right place in the ranking, not 16th.

Sorry I meant that in another way. Excuse me, I thought everyone was on my level, but I couldnt assume that, you are right.

It's obv not meant as an absolute value, but more as a reference.

I dont put much thought into this south america vs europe debate, its preety stupid.
Europe has 52 teams, we have 10, thats a preety big edge.

Anyway Europeans have to decide.
- Winning is everything
- Overall performance.

European were using the overall preformance before the world cup because we were 9 and 9 but suddenly nobody cares about who makes the QF its all about winning inconsistency imo.

Anyway I care about Chile not the other 9 teams, I dont care what other southamericans teams do, I just want Chile to win
And we have sucked throughout the years, its a shame that our awesome team is going to be once again ****ed up by Bielsa whose attacking game is good to get points out of Venezuela, Peru and Bolivia but whose not modern enough tactics once again fail to deliver when it really counts.

I dont know where else to post it but I just ordered the following books I saw on zonal marking bibliography:
- Soccernomics
- How to score
- Invering the pyramid
- Football & chess.

Im an average chess player so the last book called my attention

btw I had not thought the fact that while we give europeans better players they give us better coaching in return, our coaching is clearly inferior to what is going on Europe.

that was me trolling europeans.

The reason I dont like the debate its because the confederations are not comparable, ok so your 3 elite teams owned us, but what about the other 45 teams that suck?
An average conmebol team is better than an average uefa team but Faroe Islands isnt even a proper team, so it really doesnt make sense to me.

I prefer comparing things that are comparable.

Teenage football fan 'shot dead in South Africa by neighbour after annoying him by playing a vuvuzela'

Quote:
A teenage football fan has been shot dead after irritating his neighbour by playing a vuvuzela.

Asanda Cele was blasted twice in the head and once in the arm, according to police.
Justifiable homicide imo?

Quote:
Mr Cele said: ‘My son loved soccer and his teams were Manchester United and Bafana Bafana.

'He would always be blowing his vuvuzela, whether his team won or lost.
Confirmed justifiable.

Two men have been shot dead in Germany after a fatal World Cup row. The Italian pair – Francesco ‘Franco’ L. (47) and Giuseppe ‘Pippo’ S. (49) – went for a drink together in a bar in Hannover after work on Monday evening. An argument broke out between them and Holger B. (42) from Germany about how many times Italy had won the World Cup. The discussion turned deadly when Holger B. left the bar and returned shortly afterwards with a pistol. He shot the two Italians in the head and then fled. Both victims have died as a result of their injuries.

Do Americans hate it? Soccer, that is?
Here’s one plausible answer: we don’t. The non-haters include the nearly twenty million of us who stayed indoors on a balmy Saturday afternoon to watch Ghana join England, Slovenia, and Algeria on this year’s list of countries beaten or tied by the United States in the World Cup. We were disappointed—Ghana won, 2-1, sending our team home from South Africa. Still, 19.4 million, the number registered by the Nielsen ratings service, is a lot of people. It’s not just more people than had ever watched a soccer game on American television before. It’s also more people than, on average, watched last year’s World Series games, which had the advantage of being broadcast live in prime time. It’s millions more than watched the Kentucky Derby or the final round of the Masters golf tournament or the Daytona 500, the jewel in NASCAR’s crown.

From the current Private Eye:

£400m - Profit made by South Africa from World Cup
£700m - Profit made by FIFA from World Cup
£0 - Tax paid in South Africa by FIFA on World Cup activities, a precondition of holding it there
