this is not true.

its based on spains style and the style of the teams they have played. obv they are sick players, but the stats don't mean spain are the most skilful

like it shows pretty clearly that spains opponents are trying to mark the most creative players on spains teams, hence the fact that their centre back and 2 holding players get tonnes of time on the ball. xavi is explained because he is the hub of every spain attack, and is obv a sick passer

FA have announced that he is staying on.

If your in Leeds (UK) as your location says, every game is live on either BBC or ITV and in HD if you've got it.

That's awesome.

Pique as well. Wouldn't have thought he'd get so much of the ball even when watching spain, then again he does carry the ball out.

When Spain passes the ball around Pique is often on the same level on the pitch as Busquets.

Yeah I suppose he does and he also likes to attack.

Anyone got the passing stats for the whole of the Spanish side?

Those will be more valuable when the top teams all have 5 games but you get the idea.

beginner question: how was brazil's goal vs. netherlands not offsides? i thought if you're behind the defense when the ball passes the defense, you're offsides.

Its when the ball is played not when it passes the defense.

The important moment is the one when the pass is released, not when the ball is received. When Melo passed the ball Robinho was onside.

Offside, not offsides.

It is from the moment the ball leaves the passers foot not when the ball passes the defense.

The ever changing offside rule is the most complicated rule in any sport.

I know it's what Americans are used to but this just tilts me more and more every time I see it. For any American soccer noobs reading this, imagine a foreigner saying "They just scored a touchdowns!" and you'll see how tilting it is.
