Caitlin gets lots of uncontested layups becasue they're so scared she'll shoot the 3.
Off the pick and roll or in transition. Her game isn't being an iso scorer.

So you see Nash on Steph Curry and Larry Bird's level? I like Nash's game but he wasn't on Steph or Bird's level. I got Steph and Bird in my top 10 and Nash i don't know where. Prolly not inside top 20, maybe not 30. So it semed insulting to call Caitlin Nash when, barring injury Caitlin will most likely be top 5 all time, and a good chance to be the goat.

What do you base Mitchell being a better scorer on? They score around the same but one big difference. Mitchell gets alot of open shots and layups due to caitlin feeding her beautiful passes. Also Caitlin drawing the more attention leaves Mitchell open more. This while Mitchell doesn't return the favor much. Mitchell just puts her head down and tries to score anytime she touches the ball. If Caitlin did that she'd easily average in the high 30's a game. I mean Caitlin doesn't hold the all time scoring record in college basketball because she's not good at scoring.

Caitlin may not iso very often. But you think she couldn't do it? I mean her game is like Steph's and he may not be considered an iso player but they both seem to still not have trouble scoring(or passing if they collapse on her) at the end of halves and games when given the ball on a clear out. And it's not like Mitchell is like a great iso player. She just dribbles around alot playing alot of hero ball then usually steps back for a 3 that she hits sometimes becasue she's a good shooter. But other times she forces and misses. Caitlin makes better decisions with the ball so she should have the ball.

Mitchell's a good player but she's not on Caitlin's level.

So they got Caitlin 10 out of the top 50 players in the wnba LOL! Kelsey Plum 9, interesting they put her right above Caitlin, Plum who held the all time college scoring record until Caitlin broke it. Plum has been in the league since 2017 and made only 4 all star teams. She's considered better than Caitlin? Then they put Paige ahead of Caitlin as well. Paige better than Plum but Caitlin? Ionescu? Chelsey Gray and Jackie young? Yeah ok. Seems if your friends with Aja Wilson they over-promote your ability. Keep giving Caitlin fuel to motivate her to goat!

There is only 2 players that i can't argue being ahead of her on the top 10 list, really 1. Aja, she has proven to deserve being the top player in the league currently. Mind you she has one of the best coaches and always gets great talent around her to play with. But i'm good at her at 1 for the moment. 2. Napheesa, i'm not sure here. It feels like she gets this high a ranking based on what we think she will do. And maybe she will, probably. I know she's already played great. But feels like some of it's hype too. But ok let's give her 2 i won't make a big argument against for now.

Caitlin should be ranked 3, maybe 2 currently. She can't be 1 unless she puts up fantastic numbers this season. Also people keep saying the Fever have such a good team. Where? Mitchell is over-rated but a good player. Boston a very good player. I think she's over-rated at the moment as well. But she's very good. That's it. And have no big to protect the rim. Boston's more a forward than center. They have one of the worst defenses. And they're coach is way over-rated. When she coached the sun she had a loaded team. Now she comes here and has all kinds of problems. This while coaching Caitlin Clarke. I know will here they were 1 game from the finals without Clarke. That was a fluke. And Ace's weren't that good last year. They won the title but most pof the teams were hurt. Aja pulled them through.

The Fever should hire Caitlin's Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder. She knew how to coach and treat her mega superstar. Bluder's quote referring to coaching Caitlin..paraphrasing "you don't woh a racehorse, you let it run" Her letting Caitlin have the freedom to be herself got her to 2 final 4's playing with an inferior team against the great packed teams of women's college basketball. Coach White is woh'ing her racehorse.

Ok. sorry i'll post below.

Btw, forgot they have Alyssa Thomas at 2 above Napheesa. Thomas is a really good asisst person but 2? Caitlin better asissts and better scoring.

This is from ESPN's top 50 going in to this year, i just copied the top 10.

ESPN

1. A'ja Wilson, Las Vegas Aces
Center | 6-foot-4
2025 stats: 23.4 PPG, 10.2 RPG, 2.3 BPG

Last season, Wilson, 29, won an unprecedented fourth regular-season MVP award and then was WNBA Finals MVP as the Aces won their third title. She was also co-defensive player of the year and for the second season in a row averaged a double-double in scoring and rebounding. She shot 50.5% from the field, which included making 42.4% of her 3-point attempts (25 of 59). And for the fifth consecutive season, she shot better than 80% from the free throw line. -- Michael Voepel

2. Alyssa Thomas, Phoenix Mercury
Forward | 6-foot-1
2025 stats: 15.4 PPG, 9.2 APG, 8.8 RPG

Thomas had an MVP-caliber season in her first year with the Mercury, finishing third in award voting. One of the league's best playmakers, she led the WNBA in assists per game and broke the league's single-season assists record (357), finishing with at least 300 for the third straight season. Thomas also recorded eight triple-doubles -- more than the rest of the league combined -- to break her own single-season record (six in 2023). -- Kendra Andrews

3. Napheesa Collier, Minnesota Lynx
Forward | 6-foot-1
2025 stats: 22.9 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 3.2 APG

Collier was the early favorite last season to win her first MVP, but Wilson had the stronger sprint to the finish line. The Lynx had championship goals after losing in the 2024 Finals, and Collier was leading the charge with career highs in points, blocks (1.5 per game), field goal percentage (53.1%) and was named first-team all-defense for a second consecutive season. All those aspirations came to an end when she tore three ligaments in her ankle in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals against Phoenix. -- Kareem Copeland

4. Breanna Stewart, New York Liberty
Forward | 6-foot-4
2025 stats: 18.3 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 1.4 BPG

By winning championships in Unrivaled (with the Mist) and EuroLeague (with Fenerbahce) earlier this year, Stewart might have minimally reduced the sting of last season's first-round WNBA playoff exit. That she jumped immediately into training camp and even played 12 minutes in the first preseason game indicates the two-time MVP is determined to not let 2025 repeat itself. The Liberty went 5-8 last season when Stewart sat out a month because of a bone bruise in her right knee, illuminating her importance to the franchise's success. She was still an All-Star for the seventh time and was a second-team all-defensive selection, remaining the best two-way player in the league after Wilson. -- Charlie Creme

5. Jackie Young, Las Vegas Aces
Guard | 6-foot
2025 stats: 16.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 5.1 APG

Young was one of two Aces players to start every game last season -- Chelsea Gray was the other -- and was the team's second-leading scorer. In Las Vegas' 12 playoff games, Young upped her scoring average to 20.4 PPG and shot 49.4% from the field. Both were postseason career highs for Young, who has competed in the playoffs in all seven of her WNBA seasons. She has three WNBA titles and has said her next individual goal is to earn league all-defensive honors. -- Voepel

6. Sabrina Ionescu, New York Liberty
Guard | 5-foot-11
2025 stats: 18.2 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 5.7 APG

Despite foot, toe and neck injuries that lingered all season and forced Ionescu to sit out six games, she equaled the career-high scoring average she posted during the Liberty's 2024 championship run. Though her 3-point shooting dipped below 30% for the first time in her career, Ionescu ranked seventh in the league in assists and first in free throw percentage (93.3%). Still one of the WNBA's elite passers and now with a new three-year contract, a healthy Ionescu might have the ball in her hand initiating offense even more this season without Natasha Cloud beside her and in a new system of first-year coach Chris DeMarco. -- Creme

7. Allisha Gray, Atlanta Dream
Guard | 6-foot
2025 stats: 18.4 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 3.5 APG

Gray had the best statistical season of her career last year, posting career highs in points, rebounds and assists. She finished fourth in MVP voting as the Dream won a franchise-best 30 games and posted the third-best record in the WNBA. Gray recorded 15 games with at least 20 points and nine games with 25 or more. Gray also broke a franchise record for most points in a single season (773). -- Andrews

8. Paige Bueckers, Dallas Wings
Guard | 6-foot
2025 stats: 19.2 PPG, 5.4 APG, 1.6.SPG

One of the faces of the WNBA almost immediately after being drafted by the Wings with the top pick in 2025, Bueckers lived up to all expectations as the only player in the league to rank in the top 10 in points, assists and steals. After posting the third-most points and assists for a rookie in league history, Bueckers was a second-team all-WNBA selection and a near-unanimous choice for Rookie of the Year. Her ability to become a top-five player will determine how she can elevate a Dallas team that won only one more game last season than it did in 2024 despite Bueckers' brilliant first year. -- Creme

9. Kelsey Plum, Los Angeles Sparks
Guard | 5-foot-8
2025 stats: 19.5 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 5.7 APG

After six seasons and two championships in Las Vegas, Plum wanted a change and was traded to Los Angeles before last season. As the Sparks' star, she had the highest assist and rebounding averages and second-highest scoring average of her career. Now, Plum hopes to lead Los Angeles back to the postseason for the first time since 2020. -- Voepel

10. Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever
Guard | 6-foot
2025 stats: 16.5 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 8.8 APG

Clark received the fourth-most MVP votes as a rookie while setting a single-season league record for assists and posting the second-most 3-point field goals in a season. She became one of the league's best passers and long-range shooters the moment she stepped onto a WNBA court, and was just getting started when she was named Rookie of the Year and first-team all-WNBA in 2024. Injuries limited her to only 13 games in 2025, but she was still named an All-Star. -- Copeland

Comrade filthy, like most of humanity Spike Lee appears to subordinate politics to the prospect of making large sums of money. His decades-long relationship with Nike, the same Nike that has a horrific record of child labor abuses, is but one example.

That said, who gives a ****. Politics is stupid, let's talk basketball.

Coach White not recognizing when you have a mega superstar on your team the traditional playbook doesn't work, or not work as well, as you're not utilizing an extraordinarily talented player. Like White may just say this is always how i was taught to coach by reigning in players that go outside the system of the abc playbook. She can't see that she's not only hurting Caitlin's career holding her back, but also hurting the team as well. For instance if Steve Kerr said woh, woh, racehorse Steph Curry stop shooting those 3's they're low percentage and wild. Kerr saying i'll design you to play the way i played when i was on the bulls. Steph Curry wouldn't be the icon he is today if Kerr held him back like that. Steph still would have had a very good career, but nobody would be talking about him as a possible top 10 player of all time. And the Warriors would not have been the great dynasty they were. I think that's what White is doing to Caitlin, she wants to get Caitlin to play like White was taught to play from her former coaches when she played. But Caitlin is much more talented/dynamic than White was, like Steph is/was much more talented/dynamic than kerr was as a player. So White should take the reigns off and let your racehorse run! Just like Kerr did with Steph. The genius in Steph and Caitlin's fast-paced chaos can't be explained, it just is. Just let Steph/Caitlin do them and they'll make history!

Going back to the top 10 list of having Paige ranked higher than Caitlin. Caitlin is much the better player here's why....

The argument some people make is that Paige has higher field goal percentage/more efficient than Caitlin. But that stat can, and usually is, very misleading. It doesn't take into account the pressure Caitlin is putting on the defense by constantly attacking and shooting 3's. It draws double teams on her which open up the offense allowing Caitlin's teammates to be open and score more efficiently. And given that Caitlin is a great passer works out perfect.

Where Paige doesn't extend the defense because she's doesn't have Caitlin's range/ability to shoot 3's and long 3's sometimes. Paige's high field goal percentage/efficiency is due to playing it "safe." Meaning she only shoots short and mid-range shots when the offense dictates the ball should go to her/when she's open. This raises her field goal percentage but doesn't put pressure of the defense that Caitlin does. What Caitlin does is like Steph Curry, they are dynamic game changers the way they play. If White would allow Caitlin to play that way. So Paige is more a system player and not as dynamic a player that Caitlin is. She's very good in the system but nothing extraordinary about her game.

Also Paige you would think would have more assists than Caitlin if she's shooting less than Caitlin by being more efficient. But she doesn't, and she's not even close. This is because Paige isn't as good a passer as Caitlin, and not a natural point guard. Her natural position is 2 guard. So Caitlin is more effective for her team's offense than Paige is. So Caitlin is the more dynamic offensive player in all ways.

They both are weak on defense, Paige prolly a little better but Caitlin's working on it. But for argument sake let's say Paige is a little better at defense. But every other aspect of the game Caitlin crushes Paige.

Paige is hyped up alot because she came from uconn where she got to play with great players. I wonder if she played for Iowa instead of Caitlin would she have made back to back final 4's and scoring in the 40's against the great defenses of college basketball? And would she break the all time scoring record in college basketball? I don't really wonder as there is no chance that would happen.

Don't get me wrong Paige is a very good little player. And that's not a slight, just meaning if comparing her to Caitlin she's little. If Paige compared to others in the league she's better than most. But still over-rated at the moment. She will get better and be great i bet. But there are levels to great and Caitlin's level of great/ceiling is much higher.

When Caitlin hit the five 3 pointers in the 4th quarter against the Mystics was a taste of what Caitlin can be if allowed to be free. But we already know that as she did it in college and whenever she's been allowed to be free in the wnba. I think Caitlin said to herself we're down a bunch and playing in the system isn't gonna get us back in this game, especially considering it was already in the 4th quarter so not enough time. So she threw out White's playbook and went rogue to try and do something special. And she did.

Maybe that's why White in the press conference didn't want to compliment Caitlin when the reporter threw her a softball quesion to give her a chance to compliment Caitlin and she chose not to. Because if she complimented Caitlin she would have to admit Caitlin ball works intstead of White's system plays. So she instead sidstepped complimenting Caitlin, and instead complimented the team, even though the rest of the team was awful blowing layups all over the place. Even the great Mitchell blew a layup and missed both her free throws in overtime. Then saying "i wish it was more consistent." Which i think is a dig at Caitlin to say Caitlin ball doesn't work firing up her 3's because she's not consistent. That's why my(White) way we play is better/system ball.

And the thing is i bet Caitlin doesn't speak up about being allowed more freedom to shoot her 3's. Because she's worried the team will think she's being selfish. And in fact if Caitlin misses a couple 3's she backs off and only drives or passes. White and her teammates should say to her we believe in you! Keep shooting you'll find your rythem eventually and bring us home most of the time, and then win us a championship. Don't worry about the misses, do you! Just like Steph's coach and teammates say to Steph.

Also she was complaining because she gets fouled like everytime she has the ball and they don't call it. I heard she can't create her own shot. Did you see the spin move mid-range jumper fade away off one foot ala Dirk Nowitski and it was money!!!!!!!!1 She got fouled too but they didn't give her the and 1.

They sure call fouls on her though she had 5.
