Would you mind sharing your reasons for just hating on an OU team that has lost 3 games by 5 points. I mean at least somewhere in the 20-25 range I would think?

Just curious....

Not putting Oklahoma in was an error, I should have them around 20th since I am treating these like Power Rankings. I actually didn't look at any 3-loss teams and forgot about them.

I don't think that USC and Cincinnati ahead of Texas is unreasonable at all.

Really? You watching the same games as me? I think putting Texas ahead of Florida (and behind Bama) makes more sense (tho still prob not correct) than having USC and Cinci jump Texas.

By the end of the season, it's quite possible that Texas will have played 0 top 25 teams.

well that is to be determined, but USC has like a 42-35 shootout with oregon state and cinci crushes UofL (lol) and based on that they jump texas? its like penalizing UT because their opponent this week was terrible, and overlooking it for USC/UC

Yes, I am. I'm also watching about 30 other games per week that you aren't watching. I also have access to more data than you and everybody else, although I make my weekly rankings before I look at much of it.

And no, putting Texas ahead of Florida is flat out ******ed. Thinking that Texas is better than USC is wrong but understandable given that the media is telling you that.

Texas and Cincy are right about on par with each other, but Cincy has a very slight edge right now. Texas obviously isn't playing up to their potential yet though, so I am not sure how long that will last.

The notion of "jumping" is incorrect. I re-evaluate from scratch every week, which includes more than just the one team you played that weekend. I also did my rankings pretty quickly, but Bama/UF/USC followed by Texas and Cincinnati in either order is pretty easy.

wait ok what is the justification for USC exactly? oregon state made their defense look silly. oregon is going to absolutely crush them.

stanford is the only one of those 4 teams that has 3 losses. so sure if you think it matters a ton that oklahoma gets in before stanford, that seems reasonable.

totally agree.
I think I see it every week. The clock management this year is Awful.

I can't think of examples right now except every Notre Dame game, and sometimes their opponents (Purdue, BC) Michigan vs Iowa.

using that logic then every undefeated team should be 1 thru whatever, followed by every 1 loss team and so on

but obviously you know that isnt how it works, just because someone has less losses does not make it automatic a team is better than another

its not the biggest deal whether ou is 20 or 26 but to use an argument against OU when it affects those others teams as well is just wrong

That'll teach them to schedule actual teams out of conference. WTF were they thinking passing on Deleware St?

It was somewhat of a trap game against a solid OSU team, and its another game (like the ND game) where the final score was closer than the game.

The good news is we don't really have to argue about it, because all questions will be answered next week.
