I prefer Stak's lineup versus Mexico vs anyone actually. Really like it when MB goes forward, and he thrived in a similar role with Heerenveen ldo. Plus, I really dislike any lineup that leaves Edu on the bench.

too much time right now before the GC starts. Got a few guys in MLS that could come on, so hard to say right now what formation I want to see. I have no clue in MB is even getting minutes right now. The guys in MLS will be much fresher and more fit as well.

Jozy/CD were clutch together. Beat Egypt 3-0, beat Spain 2-0, played even with Mexico in Azteca until Landon went pigflu.

Mix is sick, but I don't think he's gonna be ready for the GC. Would love to be proven wrong.

MB could be a good Holden replacement in that 4-2-3-1, but I'd really see that moving to a Real Madrid-style 4-3-3 with one of the 3 center mids playing a little bit forward of the others. He's getting some minutes with Aston Villa, but not as many as I hoped given that they really seemed to want him.

Ives has this projection:

---------Jozy--------
Landy----MB-----Clint
----JJ------Edu------
Boca--Ream--Gooch--Lichaj
----------Howard--------

I'm a fan. The front 6 really makes sense to me. I wouldn't like the idea of trying to shoehorn Buddle in there just to keep Bob's 4-4-2. It's early in the cycle, this is the time to experiment with new things. If he is going to go 4-4-2, I want my boy Agudelo.

The other added bonus is that this front 6 also happens to be your 6 best players available. It's always nice when that happens.

In the back there are plenty of interesting decisions. First on the team sheet has to be Gooch, ldo. Partnering him you could go Boca, Demerit, or Ream. I say we go Ream. If this was the Gold Cup Final, probably not...he's a little green yet. But hell, what are friendlies for? At the very least, it's a great learning experience for him even if (when) Messi turns him inside out a couple times. If he plays well, then it's an awesome confidence booster and maybe a look into our CB of the future.

I tend to favor Lichaj at RB for the same reason. Out with the old, in with the new imo. Another interesting prospect is the kid from Nurnberg, so we'll see how it goes.

I'd be more than happy with Ives' lineup.

I'll puke if it's

------Buddle-----Altidore----
Landy------------------Clint
---------MB----Jones---------
Boca-Demerit--Gooch---Spector

or something. Ugh. I think Spector is a valuable squad player, he can play across the back line and in DCM. But I don't really want to see him as the "RB of the future," he's very limited.

Ugh. Please not this. It's not so much that I think this is.. terrible, but it's boring. If we start like this it'll basically be Bob saying, "Well, we lost Holden so now we're just gonna stick our vets out there in the good ol 442 and see what happens."

I approve of Ives starting line up, oddly more stoked to see some of the second half subs though. Although that means he'll probably sub on Bornstein

Well done Bradley

-----------Jozy----------
Landy----Edu-----Clint
--------Jones---MB----
Boca-Gooch--Jay-Spector

It'll be interesting to see if Edu really is the furthest forward (although none will be quite a trequartista), Ives seems to think he is based on some comments by JJ. Obv don't be shocked if MB and Edu are swapped.

Lichaj doesn't dress which is disappointing, and it's sort of an oldguardish backline but Bob doesn't really seem the type to throw the young guys to the wolves in the form of Messi et al anyway so it's not htat shocking.

Like to see Chandler and Ream in the second half.

Loved both anthems tonight. Argentina's was beautiful sounding and sams army gave their support. Too bad some drunk idiot had to ruin the minute of silence.
