the funniest part now is the mexican fans itt now have to do the unthinkable and cheer for the country of their birth so that mehiko can sneak in to Brasil 2014.

I guess we shall see how El Tri fares against a team(s) that doesn't park the bus in front of their 20 yard box packed with half their gdp generating population.

Traditionally Mexico plays up (and down, unfortunately) to the level of their competition. We get up for big events. Understandably you USA fans are mentally incapable of comprehending that notion because of the reality of your physically and technically limited pathetic squad; and unlike the USA, we actually hang with and can beat Brazil in meaningful games.

Most of you won't admit it but I know you'll be watching your CONCACAF mates and will witness the Giant of Concacaf snap out of the run bad and flourish, just in time for the stretch run of qualifiers.

Traditionally Mexico wins its home games. And traditionally they were capable of scoring a goal in those games.

Mexico needs to move up to where its opponents will respect its raises?

random stuff I got to say:

Do people actually think Mexican fans won't still throw **** at the opposing players if they don't play at Azteca? lol. Chicharito trying to get Ruiz to take the corner as if nothing was happening was beyond hilarious. So was Mexico being given 7 minutes to continue to not score.

Mexico hasn't lost a game in 2013 and it's hard to be TOO furious if you're a Mexican fan, but at the same time you have to be pretty ******ed to think they are a top 15(or top 5 LOLCRUIZNNNN) team. Mexico could surprise at the Confed Cup, but it's way more likely that they score only 2 or 3 goals and finish something like 0-1-2 and are eliminated.

Maybe Mexico has had some run bad offensively, but they have run good defensively. Both Jamaica and CR missed easy chances(as well as plenty of other chances) to take the lead. Mexico's WC qualification is no longer an absolute lock.

The park the bus thing both cruizn and og keep harping on is about as real as flying sombreros. Mexico has had their opponents push them a number of times, and in the first half against CR yesterday there was a very long stretch where CR was clearly better and had the possession. The US faces tons of 11 behind the ball in CONCACAF games, and saw plenty of it last night prior to taking the lead.

I am not too worried because our two of our top 3 options up top will be back for the stretch run. Rumor has it Carlos Vela and FMF will patch their feud up after confed cup and oribe Peralta will be back from injury.

Man the Mexico fans trying way to hard now.

US is a huge favorite to win the hex now. Mexico failing to finish top 3 is more likely than the US finishing worse than first.

Lol at a mexico fan making gdp jokes. Especially at costa rica, which has been absolutely great both times I've been. I domt expect many mexicans to understand the concept of international vacations though.

Kinda like when Ian Darke (I think) claimed that Algeria were playing "dreadfully negative" against the US in the World Cup when they were doing nothing of the sort. Somehow, when you're supposed to win a game and end up scoring zero goals, you get to blame the other team parking the bus.

This iteration of Mexico complaining about bus-parking is like Reggie Evans complaining that other teams pack the paint when he gets the ball on the outside.

I don't know about that. I think if I were a Mexican fan, I would be extremely discouraged. I'm shocked at how badly they have underachieved. They haven't lost but they only have 1 win in 6 games and that win was against Jamaica, who they only beat once in two tries. They played everyone else in the group and didn't win a single game. I still expect Mexico to advance, but then again, I thought they would beat Costa Rica by 2 or 3 goals yesterday.
