I'm sure Mikel Antonio's technique will be just fine

Not sure the Antonio comparison is analogous. I'm talking about the ability to control the ball in the MF, not the ability to vulture goals on two or fewer touches or dominate in the air. Obviously Antonio is elite if he gets service or a lucky bounce in the area.

Also I'm certainly not IN FAVOR of starting the MLS all stars. I just think it's going to happen and am anticipating the excuse.

I'm with you on all accounts.

So we're to expect that Paul Arriola and Kellyn Acosta can control a ball on a **** pitch better than Musah or Busio or Weah? wtf?

If anything play Weah and just dump balls into the corner and let him run onto them like he did against a much better Mexico. Hate to tell Gregg but we aren't some technical juggernut and you have zero idea how to set us up when we have possession in the opponents third.

Starting to fear that the Edmonton weather is really going to have a detrimental effect on the home side. Bad weather usually favors the worse team.

Mexico looks super slow against athletic teams like USA/Canada, so if the pitch is all mucked up, the weather probably isn't as great for Canada as people think.

It hurts Mexico wanting to pass it around/hold it, it hurts Canada when they want precise counters.

It puts a greater emphasis on set pieces which helps Canada imo.

Yah, I realized it was a joke (that Mexico is the worse team), but was just making a serious point in response.

Snow at times heavy. Local blowing snow near noon. Amount 2 to 4 cm. Wind northwest 40 km/h gusting to 70 diminishing to 20 gusting to 40 this afternoon. Temperature falling to minus 8 this afternoon. Wind chill near minus 15.

Tonight Clearing this evening. Wind northwest 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light late this evening. Low minus 11. Wind chill near minus 15.

i imagine the pitch will be clear and that'll be less of a factor than how ****ing cold it'll be with the wind whipping around

I can see why noone wants to go to the match. You'd have to listen to those annoying arseholes for a couple hours.
