Also, looks like injuries were to his right leg only. Most of the power goes through your left leg for right handed golfers.

Im still offering even money . Im betting he will make a top 10 in any major within the next 7 years, Senior PGA Majors count.

I really thought he would win 1 or 2 majors before his career was over. Glad he's ok and hoefully he was sober. If he can't play competively again hopefully he'll be healthy enough to compete with Charlie at least.

This is not the type of thing were a 30 year old 5 handicapper gets in a bad accident and recovers and can play to a 15 handicap with his buddies, limping in and out of his cart.

It is almost impossible to fathom that Tiger, at his age and with his pre-existing injuries, will ever compete on the PGA Tour again. Plus, even if well wishers prayed for him to get back to 95%, Tiger is the type of guy that would say nope.. never.. If I can't win I ain't playing.

It is sad, but he is done. I just hope he gets mobile enough to have a relatively normal post-golf life.

I'm confident he won't ever make a cut again at a major.

Yeah the fact that they are not considering prescription pain killers based on his past. He was also worried about his manager collecting his things. Pocket full of pills
Also no Driving to fast for conditions?

"Woods’s lower right leg was smashed and his right foot severely injured, and his leg muscles swelled so much that surgeons had to cut open the tissue covering them to relieve pressure..."

"Doctors also inserted a rod into Woods’s shin bone, and screws and pins into his foot and ankle"

"Such lower-leg fractures on occasion bring “massive disability” and other grave consequences. A very rough estimate is that there is a 70 percent chance of it healing completely,”

"The crash caused a cascade of injuries. It smashed Woods’s shin bones, with primary breaks in the top and bottom parts of the bones and a scattering of bone fragments. When the bones in Woods’s shin shattered, they damaged muscles and tendons; pieces poked from his skin.

The trauma caused bleeding and swelling in his leg, threatening his muscles. Surgeons had to quickly cut into the layer of thick tissue covering his leg muscles to relieve the swelling. Had they not, the tissue that covers swelling muscle would have acted like a tourniquet, constricting blood flow. The muscle can die within four to six hours. It is possible that some muscle died anyway, between the accident and the surgery, Dr. Smith said: “Once you lose it, you cannot get it back"

"To close the holes where bones poke out of skin, doctors often must transplant skin from the thigh or back, a procedure called a free flap. They cut pieces of skin as large as a football and, using a microscope, carefully reconnect tiny blood vessels — about a millimeter in diameter — from the skin transplant to the blood vessels near the wounds...if Woods required a free flap — which, trauma surgeons said, seems likely — “it will be months and months before he can bear weight on his leg again,” Dr. Eberlin said.

Infection is a risk with fractures that break through the skin and following surgery to insert rods and pins into bones, with amputation in the worst cases, Dr. Smith said. The likelihood of infection depends on the degree of contamination and the size of the wound."Woods also risks fractures that do not heal or that grow together only very slowly, Dr. Firoozabadi said. “To get things to heal, you need good blood flow,” he said. “With an injury like this, blood flow is disrupted.”

As a result, he said, it may take five to 14 months for Woods’s lower leg bones to grow together, assuming they do so at all.

The biggest hurdle will be his foot and ankle injuries, Dr. Firoozabadi and others said. Regaining range of motion and strength can take three months to a year. Depending on the extent of those injuries, even after rehabilitation Woods may barely be able to walk."

"Hogan, the golfer, broke his collarbone, pelvis, left ankle and a rib. The injuries were serious but not comparable to Woods’s injuries.

With his foot and ankle injuries and the serious injuries to his leg, Woods “may never play golf again,” Dr. Smith said."

I mean, your wager is beyond absurd. But if you insist on doing this, I guess put me down for $100.

I just find it odd, especially with his history of drug use and automobile crashes, that the police insta-declared it a complete accident.
they were lying or didnt test him properly. he was def ****ed up.

still, if hes a pill head then he should be able to drive just fine. when you are addicted it doesnt really hurt your ability to drive. it helps you function. so who knows? maybe he had gotten clean and was just getting back on the horse and he nodded.

I'm not a doctor but I don't think that's how addiction works.

Well in "Leaving Las Vegas" he couldn't function normally until he downed a quart of liquor after waking up. Then he was steady as a rock.

In some cases it does. Not sure what pills Tiger has been on but in the immediate, withdrawal symptoms with many drugs are more dangerous that continuing to consume. Now, driving on drugs/pills vs driving with withdrawal is a different discussion, but with a hardcore alcoholic for example, it's probably safer for them to drive with a .3% BAC than if they've been drinking for days and just stopped cold turkey twelve hours ago (not that either would be safe obv).

This poster understands how the golf swing works.

This poster does not understand how the golf swing works. Hint, with the modern swing the trail leg needs to be able to support a scary amount of downward force while the most important part of the lead leg is the knee.

I'm assuming this is sarcasm as Watson in '09 is always what people point to to show age doesn't matter without knowing anything about Turnberry, major setups in general, or why Tom's swing doesn't change.

I just hope he's able to lead a normal life and eventually be able to play golf with his son.

Bright side for the guy is he is still alive, he still has at least tens of millions of $$$, and he's a good bet to completely dominate the wheelchair golf circuit.

Well based on this article I'd say the odds of Tiger ever playing competitive golf again are basically zero. His main focus now will be on being able to walk.

It's a shame but we got that final Masters win which feels like a bonus.

And lol at everyone assuming he was under the influence. A hundred different reasons people crash on a windy road, excessive speed being the most common and most likely. There is zero reason cops or doctors would try to cover something up. I mean you saw the video when he got arrested for DUI, where was the cover-up then?
