It would be so much more entertaining if, instead of sucking the dick of every guy in the field, the announcers were just honest smart funny well informed regular dudes.
"Here's Kevin Kisner, who leads every tournament at the halfway mark. I'll be honest, I'm fully expecting a 73 or so today."
Someone needed to jump on Pat Perez heading into the third round of the British. He's one back, and sounding defeated and depressed. A bunch of weak talk about hopefully being in a position to win. These guys need to step up and take control of their destiny. They rationalize losing before they even lose.
You see it in all sports, like when young teams or players talk about a learning experience. No, that was the chance of a lifetime, and you blew it. Basically, most of these guys are like Colin Montgomerie, standing in the 18th fairway at the U.S. Open with the perfect set up to win, and they/he cannot get it done. Commentators need to bring these moments to light, like when Johnny Miller and a few others say that this is "the biggest shot of life, right here". That is what it is all about...those life and career changing rounds, sequences of holes, or even one shot or putt.
Someone yesterday did mention that Brooks Koepka, if he wants to me more recognized, might want to start sharing his life a bit. I think that the big guns are too involved in social media, having fun, etc., but he had a point about Koepka. I mean, he is boring like DJ, but DJ has a swag factor with Paulina and her Dad. Not sure why nobody really cares about Koepka. DJ doesn't really do social media, either.
