Good match from rafa won't be enough vs djok tho, hope we have an epic final

Can't decide between djok in 4 or rafa in 5

I didn't see the interview, did Nadal call Murray a "great champion" again?

Just hope Rafa can take it to 5. Djoker obviously the favorite.

Well pick one of them in 4. Player X in 5 is never the most likely outcome. Djok in 4, imo.

Hard for me to picture Novak losing a 5th set. He does not get phased and is in better shape. I think if Rafa wins it means he's just a lot better on the day and wins easier. Nadal just played a nearly flawless match vs. Murray. This match is guaranteed to be epic.

It's a 200 dollar bet and we've added other stipulations as the years have gone on. This was fun as I've been out all day working and came home just to see the end of the match, literally those last 2 games, and i send him a text and he instantaneously responds with, "don't care." lol

I explained the logic of why "in 5" is never more likely than "in 4" earlier in the thread. Consider if each set is a coinflip, in that case 4 sets is just as likely as 5.

Murray just came along in the wrong era. Very good but nowhere close to the goats.

Yeah he would have destroyed Sampras and Agassi.

I think he's probably better than both, though both certainly would have had their share of wins against him. I still would question if he could be a winenr in any era though. He's really a tragedy. He's remarkably good.

Also, I don't think his issues really even mattered today. Nadal was just on and Murray is never beating the Nadal that we saw tonight.

Murray better than Sampras and Agassi? Wow, bold claim!

Was thinking Murray would get one when Fed and Nadals bodies started failing/getting older.

Djok closing the door shut tho.

I really don't understand why all of you like Fed so much. Did anybody catch the press conference after the match?

He is so classless in defeat.

Q. Could you hit a much better serve for the return he hit that winner?

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, much better. I didn't hit the best serve. But it's just the way he returns that. It's just not -- a guy who believes much, you know, anymore in winning. Then to lose against someone like that, it's very disappointing, because you feel like he was mentally out of it already. Just gets the lucky shot at the end, and off you go.

Q. When a guy hits a shot like that forehand on match point, is that a function of luck, of risk, or is it a function of confidence that someone would make kind of...

ROGER FEDERER: Confidence? Are you kidding me? I mean, please. Look, some players grow up and play like that. I remember losing junior matches. Just being down 5 2 in the third, and they all just start slapping shots. It all goes in for some reason, because that's the kind of way they grew up playing when they were down. I never played that way. I believe in hard work's gonna pay off kinda thing, because early on maybe I didn't always work at my hardest. So for me, this is very hard to understand how can you play a shot like that on match point. But, look, maybe he's been doing it for 20 years, so for him it was very normal. You've got to ask him.

Didn't see it but usually the greats have unbearable egos. Easy to be classy when you beast everyone. Must be hard to fail in every tight match.

Was just posting about this in the other thread. That's as classless as it gets. You just put up one of the biggets chokejobs in history and that's what you have to say? gmafb

I'm truly baffled how anyone could like this guy.

A. He's an incredibly boring person and lacks any charisma on the court. He can be really fun to watch when he's on, but other than that he has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Fed with the classic heel turn now that he's older. Hogan did it, so can he. Won't be long now until he recruits Safin and Hewitt into his group and then goes around spray painting the Wimbledon plate with black letters.
