Important note before we screw up the Week 4 picks: We're commemorating Sunday's phenomenal TV night by doing a special Grantland Live on our very own Grantland Channel. Starting at 8 p.m. ET, we will be live-streaming on our YouTube Channel with me, Dave Jacoby, Chris Ryan and Atlanta native Rembert Browne — we'll be recapping Week 4 in the NFL, looking forward to the Falcons-Patriots game and getting ready for the series finale of Breaking Bad. Halfway through Breaking Bad (in the 9:35-9:40 p.m. range, whenever there's a commercial around then), we'll be popping back on the live stream to quickly break down the show to that point (almost like a halftime show).
I hate every single person that will actually pause the finale of BB halfway through to listen to this commentary.

How can we take someone who claims that "Flacco owns the best qb alive belt" seriously as a journalist or analyst?

Their breaking bad pod was basically bill asking rembert any question in existence he could think of. He adores him.

The Bill Simmons/Bob Costas preview of the 30/30 "Spirits of Saint Louis" was really enjoyable. I grew up in STL so I enjoyed it more than most listening to Costas on KMOX. It is remarkable the difference in skill between Costas and Simmons. It is like comparing Rembrandt with Bob Ross.

Really enjoyed the Costas pod too. Reminded me of the Al Michaels pod a couple years back. Their anecdotes are classic.

Looking like Magic left ESPN because of Simmons. I thought Magic was Bill's friend?

I would consider the source a bit. Deadspin has a hard-on for Simmons controversy.

Yeh, Simmons just responded:

Bill Simmons ‏@BillSimmons

My first experience today with someone writing a "sources" report about me that's not true. Part amusing, part horrifying.

Magic probably thought to himself, "I've beaten AIDS once; this time I'm just gonna avoid it."
