Is there a petition to get Jenkees back on the B.S. Report intros? I miss him already.

P.S. Ronald Jenkees (http://www.ronaldjenkees.com/, composer of the song 'Derty' that leads into each podcast) is the guy that sounds like a George Bush impersonator/rusty steak knife dude.

I used to hate on Chad ford, but the podcasts with him are amongst the best.

But boy oh boy there isn't much than Bill calling his dad. That was brutal. Usually the calls to him are short and I just deal with it, but after 15 mins I realized it was still going and had to shut it down. Christ.

true, but simmonsdad still >>>>>>>>> house

I just can't agree, and I'm no house fan.

Simmons' friends podcast rating:

1. Cousin Sal (really shouldn't even count cuz he is legit in his own right)
2. Jacko
(hyuge gap)
3. Gus
4. House
5. JBUG
6. His daughter singing happy birthday or whatever
7. Bill's Dad

Simmons' dad WOAT by a significant margin

house is the worst. a random poster from SE would be at least 4x better than house.

The real litmus test: would you rather listen to a simmonsdad podcast or watch the full back catalog of sports guy cartoons?

haha jbug

House is whatever. I can listen to a house podcast even tho he sucks. Bill's dad is just unlistenable it's the worst thing ever.

maybe being a washington sports fan changes my perception of house. total embarrassment, but sadly representative of most fans there.

my list factors are both enjoyment of the podcast and quality of guest
1. Cousin Sal
2. kevin wilde
3. house - because I enjoy the basketball talk. he's also gotten way better since he became a regular. I don't think he used watch basketball
4. jacko - OG and solid but baseball is horrible. I don't think he watches though so
5. gus - he's very serious
6. jbug - I've listened to prob every podcast save a few baseball ones and nothing really sticks

I love when carolla is on because he is way less of a prick (but just as funny) when he's on Bill's podcast

all regulars/semi-regulars that come to mind rankings in terms of eagerness to listen

1. Sal
2. klosterman
3. carolla
4. wildes
5. haralobob
6. lowe
7. House
8. jacoby (I think he's funny)
9. JackO
10. barnwell
11. Millman (potentially max entertainment)
13. Matthew Berry
14. Greenwald (his other show is actually great. I just don't watch the tv shows as much)
15. Chad Ford
16. Kerr
17. Bucher/Stein
18. Schatz
19. Lombardi

I like pretty much everyone. Schatz is a bit smug and Lombardi is too xs and os for my taste.

What do people think about Klosterman?
Sports Media Discussion (RIP ESPN) Quote

He's super-polarizing, people either love him or hate him, I don't think I've ever known anyone to be neutral on CK.

I really enjoy him but I understand why some don't.

Love Klosterman. He's connected enough to the sports world to know what's going on, yet disconnected enough to see the forest through the trees. He brings the best out of Simmons, too.

I'm fairly neutral. I never hate him as a guest even though I think he's a complete hack intellectually.

That take down piece on him regarding him as the flip flop king was pretty spot on.

I should probably read his books again because 29 year old me probably feels a lot differently about books I liked as a 22 year old or whatever.

I like how Klosterman reacts to Simmons saying dumb stuff. Like zach Lowe squirms in his seat and tries not to offend his boss but Klosterman has some funny reactions on the podcast.

I really like Andy Greenwald podcasts btw. Not as much with Simmons bc he is the WOAT tv commentator but him and Klosterman was fun.

chris ryan and andy greenwald are great

I haven't listened to the Jacoby + Jalen podcast . am I really missing out? I'm still lukewarm on Jalen but I do recognize some of his value

as far as Klosterman being an intellectual hack, I don't agree. obviously he's not some brilliant philosophy mind (then again, who is?) but he's a smart guy who sees multiple (and sometimes difficult) angles and writes generally thought provoking things. and he's pretty funny. And he is very familiar with pop culture. not sure what more you could want from a pop writer
