I have a rant with non-rhetorical questions and suggestions on draft threads.

I love drafts. I have enjoyed the few I was a part of and enjoy reading others that take place, but its pretty unbearable for me that few finish at all, none follow the deadlines set by the OP, and I have never seen any that actually get judged or anything like that.

I feel like if there was an actual enforceable participation standard then they would progress so much better. I think some system that includes a ban, probably after a warning or two, should be instituted so that those that sign up cant just disappear to the detriment of the other participants and forum as a whole. I know that I would join more drafts (and invest significant time into them) if they were certain to run to completion at the speed designated before the draft. I feel like others would too.

Do others not feel the same as I do? Is everyone else really fine with the fact that every draft dies or hits a dead period at some point?

most drafts are too ambitious in terms of rounds and participants. people join because they have like one or two great pick ideas and then dont care

unless its a mock nfl draft or something where you need X teams the mod should limit to participation to about a dozen really active users and 5-6 rounds.

could probably look up majority of draft signup threads and within 20-30 posts you've got demands for "wow this draft is sick deep, we should increase the rounds and number of drafters" when it's not

When I used to wait tables back in the day it was standard for black customers to be referred to as canadians, even some of the black servers did it now that I think about it.
