My wife gets pretty mad when I tell her that she's from South America and the word "America" simply refers to USA #1. She really thinks NA and SA is one continent.

Yeah, that's pretty lol they get so mad. It's just way too cumbersome to say the United States. Calling it America is fine. I don't call Rhode Island the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. I don't call China the People's Republic for short.

Pretty clear why we call USA #1, America. The same reason we say China, Rhode Island, etc.

Dog question since it came up:

Have a 11 month old puppydog. I've had other dogs before and know the necessary exercise/training they need. This one is trained in all ways I need except he has crazy barking fits that can last 20-30 minutes. More than the usual puppy stuff. Anyone experienced this and have tips?

Half cocker spaniel half poodle.

Barking can be normal when he hears dogs or unexpected noises.

He also barks when he wants to play which is a little much as thats like 40% of the time hes awake.

But then there are just random bits of barking when it's quiet and nothing is going on.

...play with your puppy and wear him out.

and take ample photos and videos of it all. it's really fun to look back on what your pup was like when young and seeing how the grown up version is very much the same dog.

Good gas mileage but optimal for moving ****. Don't really care about all terrain or engine power. Maybe some cool tech features but I know my way around these Detroit streets.
