Went for the first time in April, was pretty great. Where are you staying? I didn't stay in Nuevo but I'd likely recommend against it as it is mostly resorts and you have to take a cab to get to the promenade action. I stayed closer to the Old Town and it was great, walking distance was not too far and lots to do. Ensure you go to Pipi's for dinner at least once.
