The price of the electronic currency Bitcoin continues to soar.

Six weeks ago, Bitcoin was trading at $35. Since then, the price has continued to surge to new highs. Just this morning, Bitcoin blasted through $250.

As is always the case with such price moves, observers have been dismissing Bitcoin as a "bubble" since long before prices even hit $35.

And the observers may well be right.

Bitcoin may be a bubble.

Someday, Bitcoin prices may come crashing down, causing the suckers who own them then to lose their shirts

Bachelor wasn't there because he said he was sick, had a doctor's say he shouldn't go, and said hasn't felt all that well for going on 2 months now. Which shockingly coincides with him finalizing his move to Savannah from New Orleans with his fiancee. Dude has anxiety problems he doesn't want to bring up to everyone else. Literally sent us all an email an hour before I had to check in for my flight (so ~24 hours before the majority of people would be leaving). Pretty sad, obviously hope he gets well. Or at least cancels the wedding before I have to book a flight for it.

Some are encouraging their fellow Bitcoiners to stay strong, and to HOLD in the face of collapse.

Others have a "bring-it-on" mentality, saying they're eager to scoop up more Bitcoins at depressed prices.

And others are saying: This is all healthy.
Is there a BitCoin cult?

He texted me the next morning and said she sounded eerily like one of our other friends. That was all the contact I had with him, possibly the only contact anyone had.

noze,

jw, how did you think you did money wise over the whole trip (including plane, hotel, club costs etc)? did you set aside 5-10k or something that you were cool with losing in case you ran bad? Anyway, sounds like you did it the right way. The worst are the people who go to vegas and then try to save as much as they can out there.

was the bachelor party in vegas the bachelors idea or the best mans? seems like there's not much intersection between the type of the guy who plans a vegas bachelor party for himself and the type of guy who bails on his own bachelor party for any (non super tragic) reason.

Honestly I don't know, I'm still owed some money. Didn't have a solid number in mind but thankfully I never came close to having to consider it thanks to craps run good. Honestly went like 30/35 in field bets during the sick run plus all sorts of points.

Best man is his dad (some weird Savannah tradition), who was never going to go. The rest of the groomsmen (9 of us I think?) planned it with the groom over a long email chain. It's a big wedding. He definitely said Vegas was fine. The rest of us would have been fine with whatever he wanted, don't know if he felt some pressure to do something he didn't want to but reading over it he def shouldn't have.

Epi wasn't posting awful this time and if it was then it was heavily contained. I think it shows he's capable of posting normally.

He's also capable of putting down the cheeseburger and going for a jog but I'm not holding my breath for that either.
