I was at the front of the upper tier and everyone was chucking programmes etc over my head. Have to admire the level of jimmy rustling to try and reach from there.

How Adebayor didn't get a red card that day I'll never know

Not gonna lie I always had a soft spot for adebayor when he was at arsenal for some reason. Most of the time he can't be arsed be on his day he's capable of some brilliant moments. The volley goal vs spurs and the chest trap overhead kick vs Villarreal come to mind.

Kinda excited to root for him at palace given my betting interests on them. I also fully support going out of your way to troll the **** out of people even if it happens to be aimed towards the team I support.

That's hit a snag apparently. Reading between the lines Liverpool seem to be miles off Shaktars asking price. Don't think it gets done.

Never the same since his kid died of leukemia. Its a casual hot-take for sure, but I actually had him pegged as someone who would eventually take over from Schwarzer post 2011, but Schwarzer stayed on for a few more years and by then others (Langerak, Ryan) have taken over.

He is fine enough as a stop gap (most keepers are when you are that desperate for a middling league, middling team down to a 4th stringer) but Im sure you will find at least two "why the **** did he do that" mistakes if he was to play the last 16 games or so of the Eredivisie. Mainly just lets himself get completely OOP in the buildup, which makes him look pretty stupid on replay.
So, so far in his first 3 league games we have kept 3 clean sheets! These have been a 1-0 win at home, 0-0 draw away, 2-0 win at home. (4th place now!) And Jones got MOTM in the last game just now. Saved a massive 1v1 chance while it was 0-0. Even had the Eredivisie commentator praising him for his experience and calmness

The only dubious things he has pulled so far in the three games are one high ball which he was supposed to catch and dropped it leading to a chance, and two buildup kicks that went straight at an opponent.

U.S. international and New York Red Bulls defender Matt Miazga is set to be sold to Premier League side Chelsea within the next 24 hours, a source told ESPN FC.

Miazga, 20, had less than a year to run on his current contract with the Red Bulls, and given his desire to test himself overseas, New York was left with little choice but to sell now rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the 2016 MLS season.

On Tuesday, multiple sources told ESPN FC that Miazga was set to be sold to an undisclosed Premier League team. The Daily Mail reported that the transfer fee is approximately $5 million. Miazga also possesses a Polish passport, meaning he will not have to obtain a work permit.

fabregas + ade combo was pretty sick in that one season(2006 or 2007 i think)
ade was far from clinical but still scored for fun(25ish in the league)

My fondest Adebayor memory is a friend of mine having to down a bottle of Sangria in 45 minutes because he lost a bet (I bet him that Adebayor would score from a corner in some CL game in ~2008)

Remy to Leicester for 11.5m.

Seems like a great move from LC. Unlucky that he always seemed to be injured at Chelsea at the same time Costa was suspended/hurt.

They're three points clear at the top and they're trying to go for it + Ulloa is wank. Don't see what is so wtf about signing another striker.

Yeah you'd assume Ulloa is on his way now.

Loaned back for the remainder of the season though. Which isn't too bad for £5m I guess - I doubt he'd be any better than Son at this stage of his career as a striker.

Remy is a fat waste of space currently. Maybe with a run of games he could do something.

11.5m is bonkers

Spurs needed to sign Remy 4 years ago. £11.5m is way too much now - plus I doubt he's accept £25k a week wages.
