Doumbia I've never really liked even in the periods where he's sprinting really fast and scoring goals. Sometimes those periods still pop up but bizarrely there are many others, since serious injury, where he looks about 40.

He is also extremely one-dimensional. Even more so than Cisse which is an accomplishment in itself. But yeah, if he can still sprint he could bring something Newcastle are lacking sometimes from their forwards.

Overall Mitrovic and also Perez are way better though.

Emineke I've liked a lot more even if he isn't as natural a goalscorer as Doumbia but his form has been very strange for a while now with indications of a career going down the drain. Now he is in the Premier League though! He'll be interesting to watch even if he needs to be at his very best to be better than Valencia and maybe Sakho also. Still, with all the injury questionmarks plaguing their strikers they had to add someone.

But if Emineke isn't still good and if they don't have some kind of certainty of the contrary, with all the above the surface signs being that he is now very uneven, it's horrible not just getting someone better with actual potential.

OKAY so apparently it's just a loan with an option that hopefully really is an option and not more, so it's not all that dramatic one way or the other...

Need cover for the 40% of games that Mitrovic misses due to suspension though

QPR business so far:

-Loaned Caulker to Liverpool
-Sold Austin to Southampton (4 million)
-Loaned Sandro to West Brom (I assume we are still paying a good chunk of his wages).

QPR are shopping:

-Matt Phillips: somehow in the 6-10 million pound range. For a guy that doesn't track back and cannot finish, this would be a great deal of business. I have a feeling he won't get sold though. Harry bought him for 4.5 IIRC.

-Robert Green: would probably be a deal to take him on and QPR still pay part of his wages. He's likely done at QPR because he has a games played clause that will extend his contract. Any teams need a keeper?

Green to Plop.

Not sure if I'm trolling or not.

i know villa position and it was always going to be very difficult to sign anyone. But 0 players ffs. Actually feel sorry for Garde. Sounds like hes fed up aswell and wouldnt blame him if he walked. (hes blammed league position and lack of finances for reasons not to sign anyone). Also no idea who we could have signed. Rest of the season with Kozak and gestede as our strikers. yay. (think both might be injured aswell?)

wouldnt surprise me if he walked at end of season, which is a shame as i like him and really dont think we would be in this situation if he had all pre-season

Muniesa should have that potential and I think I see it. He even defends in the style of Puyol and there really are similarities but I guess still has enough uneven periods that Hughes always hesitating using him over the various tall musclemen isn't indefensible or anything but at the same time I have no doubt that Muniesa even right now walks into various top 10 teams in Spain and has the potential to bring Stoke forward, especially with a good CM to complement and vice versa.

didn't even know they have muniesa
looking over their squad it's also funny how many mediocre strikers they have(walters, joselu, diouf, odemwingie, crouch)

Juventus are working on Bernardo Silva either now or more likely in in the summer.

I think along with Martial, Dybala and Depay (lol) he was the emerging player that I was highest on from last season. It would be a fantastic signing. He has actual David Silva abilities and could be a transformative player over time even if it's trying to replace a Pogba snapped up by Pep or I guess PSG.

I'm obviously happy that Ashley is splashing some cash this window but I can't fathom not signing a cb if we're buying. We literally have two people who can play cb (taylor doesn't count for obv reasons and lascelles have never shown he'll cut it in the pl).

Would like to spend some of what we've offered for Berahino for a defender, especially with the Doumbia loan official

Patrick Roberts from City on 18 month loan.

Sniffing around Kazzim Richards as well.

Chat of Cifti to Galatasary ffs.

We need an overhaul of the backroom ahead of the strikers I think.

Selling Nzonzi was a massive wtf move. They should look to buy him back.

Next rumour is Serdar Tasci from Spartak Moscow to Bayern. On loan with option.

Ciftci to Eskisehirspor. Must be close enough to Galatasary.

Yeah, good transfer with "All things considered" as a caveat.

Welcome to Bayern ST4!

Bayern don't mess about, always seem to act so decisively when the need arises. Never liked them, but have to respect how well that club is run on the footballing side (and I assume the financial side as well, have no idea tho).

I have such a huge hard on for dybala. Was super mad when they weren't playing him more in the cl.

Leroy Fer to Swansea on loan. another waste of space. good touch and can strike the ball very well from distance but work rate sucks and he doesn't always pick out the obvious pass when he should. Swansea is generally intelligent with their business so we shall see.

Looks like Rhodes to Boro is done, must have been some serious backtracking from one of the parties - and I bet I know which one.

so our business so far is:

- release fat bastard fifth choice striker, supposedly ****ed off to the spl
- release young midfielder, immediately joins local rivals just like the other one we released last week, while we make do with an on loan player ten years older on twenty times the money, with basically no backup which is interesting given he gets booked more or less every game
- nobody in, especially not that centre back we've needed for the past four windows
