But other than that it doesn't look like Chelsea are breaking any rules at the moment so as long as Vitesse don't make the Champions League then no problem.

I do feel that its a bad career move from a sporting perspective for a young player to move there as they have very little chance of breaking into the first team. Still they will make a bunch of money and that's what its all about at the end of the day.

As long as young players are happy to sign for a team they have next to no chance of ever playing for then Chelsea may as well continue stockpiling as much young talent as they can.

If we loan them to play for someone else whats the problem? You seem to imply that we are stopping them from playing for anyone else evaar. If they dont make it then we sell them, we dont throw them in a dungeon.

We do actually want them to play in our first team because from an FFP pov that is the biggest win possible. If they are good enough they will.

Of course I wasn't implying you are stopping from playing football ever again. Just making a point that when it comes to developing players from your youth team into first team regulars, both your club and your manager are not very successful.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying Chelsea are the only team that has this issue as developing youngsters is a problem throughout the league.

Still because of all the money you spend on stockpiling these youngsters then its natural that more attention will be drawn to your bad record in how you develop these players.

Yeah you may well be right and even if the story is true I am sure Chelsea are smart enough to avoid getting caught.

We have just started this process, however it needs to be implemented all the way through to the pitch. The situation with Torres and Sturridge was the very inverse of the strategy we are following with development.

The fee is fine imo, assuming a portion of it is add-ons.

£100k a week would be a huge overpay if true and would make the pulling out of the race much more understandable and logical from our point of view.

For context, £100k a week would put him tied as our 6th highest earner with Cech and ahead ahead of all of Willian, Schurrle, Luiz, Ba, Oscar, Cahill, Ramires, Ivanovic, Mikel, Matic and Azpilicueta amongst others.

Our wage bill will be reduced quite a bit this summer with Anderson/Vidic/Evra/Rio/Giggs and hopefully Young all moving on as well as possibly Nani. Vidic/Rio/Evra will all be on 100k+.

German media is mostly using it as a reason for Kroos not moving to ManU. They didn't get along all that well.

LvG doesnt seem to like Virgil van dijk, every young CB had a chance at the dutch national team except this guy. The media is making a big buzz about it. Some 'analysts' were speculating why LvG doesnt like him and it might be because "van dijk turns slow".

I don't like veltman, he is that 'footballing' type of CB who makes every game a costly and dumb mistake. Def not ready for something like Man utd or the premier leauge at all at this point IMO. But that is true for every dutch CB. LvG probably likes him tho, but he is def not ready to step up, i would be shocked if he goes to the premier leauge now.

Veltman nowhere close to being good enough for Man U. This is his first year really. He had a promising start, but is to naive which leads to him making tons of crucial mistakes. Also needs to develop his physique to be PL ready.

v Dijk isn't currently in the Dutch squad, which is surprising given the fact that we lack quality central defenders (Vlaar is our best). This tells me that v Gaal doesn't rate him too highly.

Just not really that much talented Dutch players at the moment. If I had to pick one besides the big names I'd say Memphis Depay (PSV). Very talented left winger/forward.
