Some of you might be interested in A Game of Thrones - The Board Game, I have just been introduced to. It's sort of a combination between Risk, chess and poker - and if you're into GoT, it makes it all the better, although you can play it without having read the books (I haven't) or watched the series.

**** Settlers. Booooring.

Edit: I'd try the GOT game ldo but worry it's heavily influenced by rolling dice which is no bueno for me personally.

Halfway through season 4 of Louie.

It's decent but I'm not really laughing all that much. Doesn't appear to have much replay value either but maybe I've missed some subtle moments.

Much less random than Risk. Battles aren't random at all.

That game looks dangerously close to Axis and Allies or "How to lose all your friends in one boring afternoon"

Is it pedo of me if I find season 2 meadow the best meadow?

Man, just wikied Jamie-Lynn Sigler to see how old she was during her kc prime, and she has the greatest list of relationships ever. Married and divorced her manager, and after googling him to see wtf he was, found out that he just got arrested two days ago on pump and dump charges and was free on a 2 million dollar bail. Then dated Turtle from Entourage, followed by Sanchize, and is now engaged/had a kid with Lenny Dykstra's son. That is an impressive resume right there

Axis & Allies is my favorite game of all time. I'm actually better at A&A than I am at poker... There is?/was only 1 online place to play A&A. Def a better online game than board game - I have the board game and oh man what a ridiculous amount of attention to detail is required to even set it up correctly

I remember the 1st time I played Axis & Allies was at summer camp actually. At this point I would only play it 1on1 (since I don't have time to teach proper strat LDO, and actually utilizing teamwork is better served when all the ideas are in your head, rather than an open discussion among a group) but we played that 5 ways and it was a hoot. Just a great great time.

Also, computer AI at A&A is ridiculously terrible. They are the equivalent of a 800 Chess player.

Not sure why but reading this made me watch some youtubes of GOAT scenes with her on-screen boyfriends and Tony.

The time he meets Noah and when Finn tries to pay at dinner.

It was alright but definitely was hoping it would be funnier.

The GoT board game is very good. Tons better than Risk etc. Really awesome game, poker players should enjoy it.

Also much better than A&A imo but there will be backstabbing and broken deals etc. But comeonson it's GoT

[I'm a huge board game fanatic, partly because developing AIs of all sorts is my job.]

Edit:
Other non-crappy TV related board games and my views:
Firefly: Solid but not great, but it's a ton of fun if you love the show. You fly around and pick up and deliver stuff (contraband etc.) and go on missions.
Battle Star Galactica: Very fun coop game (players win as a team). However...one+ guys will be traitors. For POGers and the like it's very WWy. That being said you kind of burn out on it (+ think there's an optimal strategy that makes the game less fun).
Sons of Anarchy (supposed to be released this year): Looks good at first glance
[Most TV/Movie themed games are crap though. LOTR has a couple cool games as does Star Wars...most others suck]

Mmmmmm...too many other games I enjoy more for now, sorry
BUT you should pick up GoT 2nd edition for sure imo

The first episodes are their own story, particularly the pilot, which I think was filmed well in advance of the rest of the show. Around episode 4 or 5 it really settles into that THE SOPRANOS groove.

lol that was such a great scene. Also the next scene when Noah tells Carmela that Tony is lucky he didn't punch his lights out or something was just as good.

Yeah, Tony was a huge racist ****, but the fact that Noah was such an insufferable, self-centered prick definitely made me feel similarly toward him as Tony did.

I didn't need Wikipedia to know that the actor that played Noah went to Oberlin and never worked again.

Great casting, I suppose.

just finished 12 (edit: 24, ldo). i don't remember there being so much comical cgi blood in previous seasons but maybe it's just been too long

Spoiler:
lol audrey
jack's perma-batman voice will never fail to make me laugh
laughed hard at catelyn stark being thrown out the window
drink a shot every time heller says "give jack whatever he needs". proceed to die
drink a shot every time the actor who plays heller sucks at acting. proceed to die

all in all tho, pretty entertaining. 12 episode format definitely crushes 24 episode. jack4boss
