I do know that I could vote for a far-right candidate if that candidate had a 100% chance of reversing Citizens United and making concrete changes in campaign reform. But the question is (are), what percentage is the point that would tip the scales for me, and is that percentage ever attainable by a real-world candidate, and would that candidate not be an unhinged maniac like Trump.

Unfortunately, that's the lay of the land in national politics. Fortunately, state politicians aren't in the same boat. I'm currently part of a group pushing for states to call for an Article V convention to overturn Citizens United. We're making progress, slowly but surely.

Trump is as close to Bubba 2.0 as it's ever gonna get, without the whole dumping loads in the Oval Office thing.

Lol citizens United haters. Recall that at the center of what got the ball rolling is Hillary hated a movie that said bad things about her, and she won and they couldn't advertise or show the film on TV. Absolutely ridiculous. They will always cry this about money buying elections, but A) that's always been the case, and B) the real aim is to squash dissent.

Meanwhile, JEB is getting PACs to make it rain all over his droopy titties and has more money than God behind his campaign, and we all see how that's going.

That's why I caucused for Ron Paul in 2012.

Ron Paul runs a multimillion dollar grifting empire.

well if money has always bought elections i guess we should just shut it down nothing we can do about that

Well, no. Because I don't think money is the devil. And if I did, citizens wouldn't be my issue, the whole damn system would be, and if we all felt that way, we'd burn it down.

Perhaps make a less ****y tumblrina "omg I'm rolling my eyes so hard right now and this is how I express it in type" post and we can talk about it.

Well, I can't refute/acknowledge without specifics or reading material.

OK that's fine. I probably won't vote either except maybe Bernie over Hill in the primary.

But you don't have to vote to have a preference. I'd be curious to hear who among the actual candidates that can win you'd prefer over Bernie.

Like even if you're hating night in election day like most of us probably will be, deep down everyone has a preference.

Should I cite, for starters, a bunch of racist lies he published, or should I file that under things you think are actually doing the right thing?

I've always suspected there's more money in newsletters than bojangling for Goldman Sachs and doing six figure corporate speaking gigs.

Lololololololol, even if that's true, he still made millions off of them, and they were penned right under his nose by a close associate he clearly could have stopped at any time. And while perhaps not as lucrative as speaking at Goldman Sachs, the scumbags he elected to whore himself out to for speaking speaking fees were openly white supremacists. Or was that not him talking?

Not very wealthy for a long-time congressman with a large following.

During his campaign in the 2012 Presidential election, Fox Business estimated that Paul's net worth was somewhere between $2.25 million – $5 million

Do you have evidence of him giving speeches to white supremacy groups?

I understand that there were racists/antisemites that supported him. I don't think he's one, though. His speeches/voting record support that imo.
