In The Art of the Deal, Donald Trump writes, “You can’t con people, at least not for long. You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don’t deliver the goods, people will catch on.”
Wonder if he still believes that.
Best guess, he never did. He didn't write The Art of the Deal.
According to a NYT article this effort will take years and probably go beyond Trump's first term. It's not something that can be changed with the stroke of a pen. It may prove difficult for environmental groups to get the EPA to pursue and fine any violators if Trump simply instructs the EPA to not look for or aggressively investigate violations. Sounds like there's going to be an enormous number of lawsuits flying around.
