This is definitely the best decision the producers have made all season though, injected some serious drama into what would have otherwise been an overwhelmingly likely Bananas/Sarah victory.

You all are forgetting about the killing I'm sure he's making selling Johnny Bananas merchandise tho. I mean, women's panties are sold out!

135k not being much to bananas is an elite post. the dude wasn't an nba free agent this year or something.

I agree that this is a good production decision. But it can reallly suck for someone like Jenna.

Her being a strong girl is a big part of why they lasted and if she gets shafted, I feel for her.

If all 3 men score more 'points' I think it's a bad look

If Jenna can't summon enough WIM to beat that fraud Vince, she deserves to go home empty handed. It's not like they're going to make them run sprints against each other

i think they can reasonably balance the challenges. remember last season the consensus was that it was overly weighted in favor of the girls

Bannans is def the goat, lol suggesting otherwise just because hes only an above average elimination guy.

He is elite in the finals and the goat politician despite being the worst person ever.

Vince far and away most likely to not split. Jenna second. Everyone else shares.

This just about sums it up. I'd be stunned if any of these people took all of it. Bannans has ragged in Sarah so relentlessly for how she "screwed him over" (even though she totally didn't) that taking her share would be ridiculously hypocritical. He could probably justify it to himself with "well she did it to me..." (even though she totally didn't) but even as deluded as Bannans can be I think he realizes it would be far worse than what she allegedly did.

Thus the "twist" doesn't do a lot for me. If in fact the teams were truly rivals - e.g. if somehow Reilly dragged Jessica's worthless ass all the way to the final - then I could see it. As it is everyone basically gets along and works with their teammate, even when they suck (Vince).

could be interesting if one team has a player down say 3 points in events. whats to keep you from just not going on without some assurance that the money will be split? if I think you are keeping it all then **** it, we won't finish

What's an assurance really worth, though? Everyone should be reassuring each other right now regardless.

There would be a few people ahead of him if they all competed in the same amount of challenges, but his longevity+success definitely makes him the GOAT right now.

Bolded part will be his logic if he does screw Sarah, which I'm guessing he will do. We already know how delusional/hypocritical he is.

I bet the showrunners thought of the twist right at the end when they realized how awful this season has been.

I would love it if Devin/Cheyenne came up with a strategy that Cheyenne would start screaming at Devin mid-challenge in front of the other two teams. She would demand he promise to split the money 50/50 or she won't finish. The look on Sarah's face while it was happening would be amazing. I agree with JMurder that I have no idea was a reassurance is really worth though.

I hope at least one person takes all the money, or else the aftershow will be a snoozefest.

I don't know how many of them are married but could you imagine telling your spouse that instead of bringing the money home you gave $132,000 to JOHN

i think anyone would be hard pressed to break a clear on-camera promise to split the money.

when the best john has is "lets not think about it now" then there is a lot of room for actual reassurance

.

Outside of Kenny and Landon, who would the other people be? Evan was able to ride Kenny's coat tails a bunch, but his record wasn't really *that* great all things considered. If CT didn't keep getting himself sent home, maybe he'd be ahead of Bananas in this, but, well, he kept getting himself sent home.

Darrell would be the only other possible argument IMO, but, I think you'd have to rank Bananas ahead of him.

I admittedly haven't rewatched any season in a long time, but I always thought John road Evan's/Kenny's coattails. List of people who I feel would be ahead of John if they participated in same amount of seasons (had to use Challenge Wiki for help):

- Landon: The GOAT who had the GOAT performance in Fresh Meat II. Would have won all 4 challenges he participated in if not for Evan sneakily voting him in the last elimination in Duel II, and then Brad luckboxing the elimination victory.

- Evan/Alton: Both get a bad wrap cause their last seasons were pretty awful. I thought Evan was the leader of the JEK group. Alton was just a beast, but the competition was a bit weaker back in the day.

- Darrell: Probably would have won 5 out of 6 challenges if he takes Laurel over Cara Maria in Fresh Meat II, which was comparable to taking Kevin Dyson over Randy Moss.

- Mark Long: Would have a career very similar to John if he was born 5-10 years later. Unlucky for him.

Might be missing a couple.

isnt it a detriment for each team to go through every challenge 1 person at a time (rather than together)

like i would think devin/cheyenne should say **** the individual stuff and work together on everything to make up time. i guess im not sure how these challenges would be designed - or if thats against the rules - but the underdogs should really just work together

I dont get what type of challenge you are envisioning that is set up for two individuals but would be quicker to do twice with two people
