Not sure where Broner goes from here. He looked like he didn't even care. What a pathetic effort.

I think he'll stay at Jr Welter but there are more fights to be made at 147 and that is where a lot of the $ seems to be.

Just goes to show how dire Broner really was.

Ya I thought the gap was quite substantial. Without knocking someone down, it was about as dominant as possible. Porter seems like he threw so many more combos and power punches (hit a lower percentage of attempts, but not by much). Totally agree on broner--it was a truly pathetic performance. As much as I despise pbf, at least he backs up his talk.

Looks like Broner can box but he can't fight.

I wonder if Haymon is about done with broner now. It seems the fight was originally set up to give broner the advantage with 144 an the rehydration limit. But I am guessing broner was too heavy and he needed to rehydrate above the limit too, so they had to scrap it.

It seems broners best bet is to stay at 140 where he is so big he can't be bullied inside like porter and maidana did. Of course I don't know of he can even make 140 anymore. After rehydration He was a solid 157 on fight day.

I don't think he's done with Broner, not so long as he can make money from him.

Agreed completely about 140 being best, and about him likely struggling to make 140.

He needs to work harder and learn to fight smarter. You can't throw so little against a good volume punching opponent like Porter and expect to win.

Considering all the time and effort it took to get boxing back on network TV, Broner should be exiled to boxing purgatory for that disgrace of a performance.

Fyp. He landed more headlocks than punches. I thought that ref was better than to allow that all fight long without a point deduction (or even the threat of one).

How about Bartholemy though? I hadn't seen him before today. I youtubed some of his previous fights then watched today's fight -- wow, he looks special. Would love to see him against a legit opponent.

I am sure Weeks had instructions if he wanted to keep reffing Floyd and other big Haymon fights he had to permit broner grabbing and his antics. Lol docking him a point in round 11 when it had been going on so long. Seemed like he reasoned porter was gonna win a decision At that point if it went that far so no harm.

Oh I didn't see him take that point because once I reached Round 8 I couldn't take it anymore and started fast-forwarding. I stopped at Round 11 but it was the same **** so I skipped to the 12th.

Porter/dad were angling for Floyd in the presser but sounds like he is going to take an easier fight for his last fight with Showtime.

I don't think it will be his last fight though. Too much damn $ to hang it up. He makes more per fight than he made all his fights combined before fighting ODH.

finally watching a replay of the khan-algieri and fortuna-vasquez fights

saw a lot to like from my man fortuna with quickness and handspeed+ awkward punching angles but damn way too many punches thrown with the other arm completely hanging by his side. not only is that a defensive lapse but i can't imagine that helps with power/accuracy on the punch. still a good win for fortuna. i would like to see him fight salido or rocky martinez next

about to start the khan fight

DLH talking about a comeback to fight either GGG or Mayweather.

Pretty sure he's just probing to see if there's any fan interest in a DLH comeback. Given the response so far, I'd be surprised to see him come back.

Nigel Benn calls out Chris Eubank on a daily basis, Benn is 51 and Eubank is 48. There is probably more chance them fighting then their sons fighting.

I want Calzaghe to come out retirement and give Froch his can of whoop.

I would die a happy man if that scenario was played out.

If Eubank had loved boxing I really think he could have been special

Thoughts on Bradley/Vargas?

Bradley went from -330 to -400ish in the last few days. Pretty big spike.

Kinda think Vargas is live, Bradley has limited power so should atleast go to the judges.
